Ch. 25 - Olivias Journey

Hiroshi and Olivia were walking down calm streets of sunday morning.

Thankfully there weren't too many people walking around, as Hiroshi was getting used to using walking cane, as Olivia calmly observed and was ready to help if he lost balance.

"so, I am curious" Hiroshi mustered to speak up, as they enjoyed the calm air as they walked along the street. Olivia gave a light glance in curiousity of what he wants to know.

"I wonder what you were doing at that street, when we first saw each other." He muttered, having cold sweat with hopes of going with the questioning wont cause trouble for her.

"Oh... yes, that night." She calmly muttered in surprise, before focusing on her feet for a moment until looking where they were going. "I was forced to be an sex worker... and he... well... was my owner for the night." She muttered, clearly uncomfortable with the slang, but it was the truth which she wasn't afraid to say.

Hiroshi was left partly speechless, having not been so fully prepared to jump into the deep end. "Right, then... why don't we start somewhere more calmer. Like how you got into dealings with the mafia in the first place." He tried to redirect to somewhere more easier to start.

"Sure, I don't mind." She muttered, not enjoying the prospect, but him knowing was best for both of them.

Another boring day at the Cálajara's station, 14 year old Olivia was calmly looking passersby in one of the lobbies, while organizing her set of coins for seventh time.

If anyone's stare lingered, she started to feel awkward and hide her face in her fluffy mane, leaving only slightly of her eyes and antennae to the viewers to see, aside from the raggy clothes and dirty appearance.

She is what others would consider to be late bloomer, wings not having come early, be it because distress or just unhealthy condition she was in, which didn't help her to get the problems fixed.

Gotten used to the many disgusted looks at her by now, she was starting to consider if she should today explore outside, but knowing the trouble that would only brew there since yesterday's food market scuffle, she rather stayed in.

Time flied as usual, with no usual unique activity, until she noticed a new person come in.

Appearances that were not something she usually sees, the kind that always spoke 'dangerously suspicious' to her.

Trench coat, heavy boots, and a face that does not only scream to be punchable, but no doubts has already taking couple without effort.

He looked around the room as he walked on, before locking eyes with her, which surprised and scared her, as she looked away.

Yet the man didn't, not for a while, almost like inspecting the lone moth, before returning his attention to his destination, out of the room where she was relaxing.

One thing she couldn't have expected, is less than half an hour later, the man returns with one of the tamers, discussing about fostering, before stopping by in front of her.

"Olivia, this will be your new foster parent, Sabin." the tamer noted in spanish, as pointing out the brutish man in front of her.

There was moment of silence, as Olivia and Sabin stared at each other, before Olivia broke it by saying "Hello." which only Sabin responded with a scoff, before the tamer left the two be.

"Follow" he commanded with a firm word, before starting to take steps out of the station.

She felt there were multiple things wrong, but this was also a chance for a proper life outside the station, so with wary step, she followed.

going through streets of Cálajara, deeper and more curious places for Olivia, following Sabin, until he started to make way into a streets she wasn't familiar with, people more dubious as he was, before eventually leading towards an alleyway.

Olivia stopped, this was starting to get too suspicious to her, and Sabin could tell she was losing the minimal trust he had as he turned to check what the moth was waiting for, so before she could pull away, he approached and with firm and painful grip, took her hand and kept leading her deeper.

By now she understood the trouble she was in, trying to pull away and groan in pain, but Sabin was way too strong for her to deal with, and as she tried to shout for help, as just first squeal of her voice was getting out, she got silenced as he quickly took grip away from her hand to her throat, and pushed her against the wall.

"If you mutter even a word, I will make you bleed." He spoke in english with clear venom behind his tongue, as Olivia only saw eyes that not only weren't lying, but that has gone through with such a threat before without question.

After some struggle and losing some of her breath as well, he lets go, letting her fall on the ground gasping for air. "Now follow, and don't even think about running away."

As he continued his walk, she was left to scatter onto her feet to continue following her, if she didn't want to get even worse than she already.

Before long, they arrived at a backdoor to some establishment, as she could see more suspicious looking people by it, smoking and scarred appearances.

Sabin greeted them in russian, which she didn't understand yet and still to this day, only minimally. As the others took note of the moth, inspecting her like she was some kind of livestock, they returned to short conversation before letting them through the backdoor, opening it, which lead into what seemed to be the backrooms of an club.

Taking steps in the messy halls, rancid smell hitting her antennae, and as they got to more public areas, the people in it weren't too much better, with workers wearing smiles faker than the alcohol quality they serve.

After a while, Sabin arrived what seemed to be employee area, and called out one of the serving women, a tall dragon girl, in very skimpy outfitting.

They spoke in russian for a while, as Olivia was left in fear awaiting what will happen, before Sabin turned towards her, said "She will take care of you for now," before leaving them be.

As he was out of earshot, the dragon girl spoke up in english.

"Welcome to the crew." she muttered, both in comfort and annoyance, as she calmly put hand on her back and walked her in to the back. "Sorry that you ended up here, but you will be one of the Mula Borracha's employees. Name's Alba."

Olivia took the news by surprise, and worry. "B-but I am meant to-" she tried to mutter, but Alba already knew her confusion, as she corrected her "You were meant to be a foster, but these scum can just use fake ID's to claim to become foster parents. You aren't only sad person in this circumstance, and if we try to speak out, we are as good as dead, so silence is your best chances for survival. I won't repeat it, so prepare for hell."

Alba's words stung like a wound, both to Olivia, but also Alba's own experience, as she gave Olivia a uniform, and started to teach some 'manners' to go by with some russian words for now, as she was now under management of the mafia.

Forced to serve drinks, groped by pervs and if she dared to deny or speak out, her reward would be punches and beer bottles upon her head, and those were rewards in comparison to what she has seen.

Ripping of ears, beaten with bats, fingers chopped off and tongues cut, all to set a example, while the dead were never heard of again.

And being a teen didn't even save her, but made to be target to the more depraved people visiting the club, with no kind soul giving her forgiveness.

All of the customers being scum, and employees were the people suffering from their corrupt pollution.

Day after day of physical and mental abuse, even sleeping conditions and food weren't better.

Cushioning would be a worth more than gold and full stomach would be a dream for the naive.

Months went by, Olivia started to get more apathetic, shy, unwilling to risk stuff as only comfort the got was from the friends she made of the employees.

But as adulthood came, so did the next stage of personal hell the gods have forsaken her into.

"Now that you are eighteen by foster system, they would be forced to do checkup on you." Alba explained, as two of them were resting up during their free time, as Olivia wondered where this was coming from

"So to put it simply, you will be transferred. Off to other club, serve the same scum." she noted, which took Olivia by surprise, but saddened her even deeper.

"But I want to stay with you." Olivia muttered in worry. Alba has had become somewhat of her mother figure during this hard time, and now to hear she would be ripped away from her.

"We have no choice. Survival is the important part, remember?" Alba made clear, "And if you do, some day you may find a way out of this hell."

Olivia nodded, as tears started to gather on her eyes, as Alba gently swiped them off.

"Take care of yourself when you are away. That is all I can ask of you." Alba noted, clearly fighting her own emotions down, as even if she has had to see this happen multiple times in her lifetime, it never got any easier.

Olivia nodded, affirming and promising to try her hardest to fulfill her request.

And within couple days, she was given proper clothes, and a handler to take her with many other monsters and handlers through airport, from there to Elmspring, before being assigned to yet another bar, of similar treatment, same customers, same bed, same food, but no friends, all alone, and other employees, broken as she was, most couldn't even speak same language as each other, only knowing same words in russian, taught for them to serve.

The depravity got worse onto her, the new faces weren't as comforting, and abuse only got worse as she was forced into pleasuring guests, whenever asked.

Hell continued on for three more years, until that day.

She was bought for the night by one of the thugs, yet again.

Walking with him towards his residence, the damages dealt during the day work got to her hard.

Losing balance, she fell on her knee, to which she coldn't help but shake, for she has broken a rule, and the thug wasn't happy on what he was seeing, so to punish her, he dragged her into the alleyway, to lecture and just in case cut her if she started to misbehave again.

But that day, fortune shined on her, and by now, Hiroshi knew where the story continued.

"I see." Hiroshi muttered, left partly flabbergasted by such trouble, before trying to clear his throat and digest the story she told him.

"No need to worry." Olivia noted, trying to comfort him after hearing the story. "Being with you has been best part of my whole life." She noted with a honest smile.

Hiroshi was left speechless, and hearing the words, he couldn't help but tear up a moment, before swiping them off with his shirt, as they kept the walk home.

Olivia was surprised by his crying, before Hiroshi calmed himself to her level.

"That's... that's comforting to hear." He noted, sharing the smile. "But if there is some trouble, just tell me, ok? I know how... troublesome such abuse is. I would hate to see..."

Hiroshi stopped for a moment between his words, before finishing, "yeah, just happy to see you are fine." clearly not wanting to presume outcomes.

Olivia didn't question his words too much, as she gave a happy nod in return, as it didn't take a while until they could see a familiar household loom in horizon.

Just seeing he cared was enough for her.
