  First thing in the morning I had Doug shrink himself, grabbed him and the bone and the spell that Doug had come up with and headed to Enigmatic Parchments. I wanted Sparky to look over everything I had before getting Daisy’s hopes up.

  “Well what do you think Sparky? Will it work? Will it explode?”

  “Gods give me a second to answer woman.”

  “Sorry, go ahead.”

  “Good solid research, very good work with the heist, and it might work. No, it will not explode.”

  “Any tips that will give us a better chance of success?”

I have no idea I know nothing of necromancy and as far as I know I’ve never met a necromancer. The best thing to do is keep practicing until you get it one hundred percent every time. If it fails it may destroy the bone or maybe you can try again. But magic failure almost always has a consequence. Don’t try this in a full library, the fewer the people the better.”

  “Ok thanks Sparky, I just realized I need better timing, like a musician. Sparky could Lu cast the spell do you think?”

  “No, I don't think that would be a good idea. Lou is a magical being, that alone might interfere even if she got the wording perfect.”

  “Ok, I’ll go to the library and make arrangements with Eldara to try the spell tonight, after the library closes. That way it’ll just be Me, Doug, Eldara and Daisy. I’ll spend the rest of the day practicing the incantation.”

  At six o’clock Doug and I walked back into the library ready to give this my very best effort.

  “Doug, please ask Daisy if she wants me to try and trap her in the bone so that she can leave the library.”

  “Yes we think so, the only way to know is to go outside with the bone and see if Daisy can leave, she wants you to try going out.”

  I exited the library carrying both Doug and I hoped Daisy.

  “Well did it work?”

  “It did Rose , she's out here with us. But that’s not all she’s got something you’ve got to hear that she’s overheard in the library.
