“What did you have in mind?” Professor Oak asked with a raised eyebrow. “Professor I want to make some additional money for the lab by creating TMs, and I want to get the Pokémon that Jenny needs to compete” I said writing down what I had in mind. “Also, I want to help you prepare the Pokédex. Are you still working on it?” I asked still writing. “HOW DID YOU?!?!? Oh right, yes I am still working on it. What did you want to help with?” Professor Oak said catching himself. “I want to bring the first prototypes on our gym circuit and document all the Pokémon we encounter. I will personally add my own knowledge to each Pokémon entry. Once, we confirm the research results, we can add the additional information for recommended diet for each Pokémon as well” I said with a grin. “I want to make your Pokédex crucial and something every other Pokémon Professor and Researcher can’t live without. We will use it to connect with Professor Elm and make him join us in our progress” I said writing down quick notes about my plan. “Why do you want to make TMs Mr. Austin?” Gary asked looking confused. “I want to take all the new moves I am teaching Jenny’s Pokémon and my Pokémon and sell them to raise additional funding for the lab. Also, we can save some of the more important ones and only give them to Lab sponsored trainers to give them advantages” I said trying to keep myself from laughing.

An explanation about Austin’s behavior:
Austin has always been competitive, he grew up playing baseball, football, soccer, basketball, golf, and video games. Not being the best ate at Austin, he only let his loved ones be better than him. Privately though, he beat them at anything and everything he could. Even cooking, when Austin learned to cook he would improve recipes so he could beat the original recipe and make people want his food more. Something else most people forget about Austin is that he got a minor in University, and he was very passionate about it. His minor was in Finance… Austin loved money, he saved every penny he could when he could. Austin learning to cook was competitive sure, but also because it saved money. Austin didn’t like to brag about his exploits so most people just ignored him assuming he had nothing going on outside his research. He had been investing every cent he made and making every penny stretch as far as it could. Obviously some things will be expensive or cost money no matter what like healthy food and comforts or improved equipment. It had to make sense or make him more competitive though. Anything and everything to win, and make money doing it.

“You want to give the lab additional funding?” Professor Oak asked following up. “Yes, I want to improve the facilities here and make sure we can add the new technology we engineer or bring back from other regions” Austin said giving insight into his long term plans. “Austin, why would you do all this for my lab?” Professor Oak said looking down. “Professor Oak, do you love Pokémon?” I asked calmly. “Of course I do! I love them all, and every single one of them has so much to teach us” Professor Oak said with a smile looking a little younger. “Professor Oak, every Pokémon Trainer and Researcher should talk and feel the same way you do. Pokémon are more than tools, more than battle junkies, and more than prizes to put on display. I want to help you follow your dreams and study with passion all of the Pokémon of this world. Not just the popular ones, not just the strong ones, and not just the cute ones deserve recognition. Every one deserves to be loved for their own unique contributions and unique existence” I said tearing up a little. “Grandpa, I want to go with Mr. Austin and Jenny” Daisy said all of a sudden. “Huh?” I said shocked. “Mr. Austin, I want to help you and help the Pokémon out there who are misunderstood. Trainers don’t understand Clefairy because they haven’t taken the time to even understand them. Also, I remember what you told me about Wigglytuff and Mr. Mime too” Daisy said holding her fists at her side. “All Pokémon are cute and all of them deserve a chance to shine. I want to help with research by learning to groom Pokémon and how to take care of them physically” Daisy said getting excited about the idea. “Daisy, I think that’s a wonderful idea. I’m okay with it if Mr. Austin is?” Professor Oak said looking over at me. “Yes, absolutely Daisy. I love your idea! You can join me and help with the diet research as my assistant. I’ll include your name in the publication so you get your first credit too” I said nodding excitedly. “With you helping, I can take Jenny to get the Pokémon she needs to start training too! While we are out, I can stop in on the field researchers and investigate them. Oh this is so exciting!” I said starting to vibrate.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
We talked on for about another two hours about plans and things we needed to do. “Gary, I know you might be feeling a little left out, but I need you to learn all you can about Pokémon and start planning what team you want to train. I will personally travel with you as your assistant when you make your gym circuit run in five years” I said patting the youngest Oak on the back. “You mean it!?!?” Gary said looking excited. “Absolutely Gary! Maybe by then, we will have access to Johto Pokémon too and you can have even more Pokémon you can use for your perfect team” I said with a smile. “Yeah! That sounds awesome!” Gary said as he pumped his fist. “Okay everyone I think it’s time we went to bed now” Professor Oak said standing up. “Goodnight Oak Family!” I said waving goodbye with all my Pokémon. “Goodnight Austin!” they all said back. I cleaned up any food and trash, and went ahead to move all my Pokémon to their sleeping area outside. “Goodnight guys and gals! See you all in the morning!” I said to the already half asleep Pokémon. Cha fluttered over to me and cuddled up on my head. “Do you want to be my alarm clock tomorrow morning?” I asked Cha while scratching his belly. “Pidg Pidg” he said as we walked back inside.
Next Morning, Daisy joined me to feed the Pokémon and help me take pictures and measurements. It was very helpful to have a second set of hands and eyes, and she helped me capture additional notes as well. “After we catalog everything, do you want to talk about what Pokémon you want on your team?” I asked Daisy. “We can, but I already know which Pokémon I think I want.” Daisy said looking at the sky thoughtfully.
Daisy’s Dream Team:
Cleafable
Blissey
Mr. Mime
Wigglytuff
Gengar
Jynx
“I see a very unique team that has some overlap in terms of ability, but I think you could make this work. Especially since you are more interested in the beauty and physical side of research. I bet you could even become a Pokémon coordinator if you wanted” I said thinking it all through. “What’s a Pokémon coordinator?” Daisy asked. “It’s someone who competes in Pokémon beauty pageants with their Pokémon and puts on a show in front of judges” I explained. “That sounds amazing! I could showcase their physical beauty and my love of grooming and design” Daisy said excitedly. “Well, we have to get to the Hoenn Region to see how it really works” I said with a smile. “Oh yeah, I remember you mentioning that. What region is next to us again?” Daisy asked. “Johto is connected to Kanto Region through Route 26 and Route 22 I believe… or was it Mt. Silver?” I said tapping my forehead. “Any way, we have to get all 8 badges to explore that area and find the connection. I assume someone is hiding that the regions are connected. I just don’t know why?” I said trying to sort my jumbled thoughts.
After I finished showing Daisy how to log everything, she headed back to her house and I sent Cha with a letter to Jenny. “Hopefully she is ready to decide about her team, and hopefully I can see her today” I said calmly as Cha fluttered North.

Viridian City
“Ten hut!” an older looking Officer Jenny called out as she barreled into the Viridian City Police Station. Jenny stood and put her hand to her forehead. “Wait… Mom what are you doing here?!?” Jenny asked in shock. “I’m here to put an end to these thoughts of nonsense. No daughter of mine is quitting the force to become a Pokémon Trainer” Jenny’s Mom said aggressively. Right as Jenny’s mom was approaching Jenny, there was a tapping at the Police Station door. “What is that?” asked Jenny’s Mom. “Hang on, that is probably Cha delivering the mail” Jenny said as she went to open the door. “Pidg Pidg” Cha said as he jumped onto Jenny’s shoulder and started cuddling up to her head. “I missed you too Cha! How is Austin? Did he send a letter?” Jenny asked giving Cha some head scratches. “Who is Austin?” asked Jenny’s Mom. “He is Professor Oak’s new researcher and has been working with me. He was the one who stopped that Team Rocket attack on Professor Oak’s lab, and he is also including my Pokémon in a new diet study. We write to each other at least once every other day” Jenny said opening the letter. “Well what does it say?” Jenny’s Mom asked getting impatient. “I’ve.. I’ve been accepted as a lab sponsored trainer by Professor Oak’s lab, and Austin wants to come here today to talk about the next steps to becoming a Pokémon Trainer” Jenny said getting a little misty eyed. “Good, sounds like I know where these ideas of slacking off on your duty have come from now. I can’t wait to fix this when he gets here” Jenny’s Mom said with a scary smile. Jenny looked down with wide eyes, “oh no, this can’t be good” she whispered quietly. “Go ahead and respond to him and tell him to come here asap. I don’t like to be kept waiting” Jenny’s Mom said grabbing paper and a pen. Jenny quickly wrote her response, but couldn’t mention her Mom waiting to yell at Austin since she watched her write the letter. Jenny thought to herself (I’m so sorry Austin, but I think you are the only one who can convince her.)
Do we need more…
