The Day of the Earth Roared

The ground beneath Solaris City exploded.

A thunderous crack ripped through the main avenue as the street split apart like fragile glass. Asphalt shattered, concrete buckled, and the polished glass towers surrounding the district trembled violently. Within seconds the perfect skyline of Solaris—the shining capital of human progress—was filled with smoke and falling debris.

  Sirens erupted across the city.

Sharp alarms echoed between the skyscrapers as emergency lights flashed red against the reflective surfaces of the towering buildings. People flooded into the streets in panic, shouting and pushing past one another as the ground continued to tremble beneath their feet.

No one understood what was happening.

  Then the earth split open.

From the widening crack in the street, something enormous forced its way upward. The asphalt burst apart as a massive claw—black as obsidian and glowing with veins of molten light—pierced through the broken road.

A wave of heat spread through the air.

The creature dragged itself out of the depths of the earth with a violent surge of movement. Its body was a monstrous fusion of jagged stone and flowing magma, as if the planet itself had forged a living weapon from its deepest layers.

Fire burned along the creature’s body.

Its molten veins pulsed like rivers of lava beneath cracked black armor.

The creature lifted its enormous head and roared.

The sound was so deep that the air itself seemed to vibrate.

It was not simply a roar.

It was the sound of the earth screaming.

  People ran in every direction.

Cars were tossed aside like children’s toys as the monster charged through the avenue. Buildings trembled with each thunderous step it took. Streetlights collapsed, glass shattered, and entire vehicles flipped through the air as the creature rampaged forward.

  This was a Rage Beast.

The monsters that had become the greatest threat to human civilization.

And Solaris City—the pride of modern humanity—had become a battlefield in seconds.

A bus overturned as the creature’s massive tail smashed into the street behind it. Flames spread across the pavement as fragments of molten stone fell from the monster’s body.

  People screamed.

Some tried to hide behind overturned vehicles.

Others ran toward the nearest subway entrances.

But there was nowhere truly safe.

The Rage Beast roared again and raised its enormous arm, preparing to bring it down upon the fleeing crowd.

Then the sky exploded with light.

A golden spear of energy fell from above like a bolt of divine judgment.

The beam struck the Rage Beast directly, detonating with a blinding explosion that illuminated the entire district. The monster staggered backward as waves of light rippled across its molten body.

For a moment, the world stood still.

Then figures descended through the smoke.

  Armored warriors.

  White.

  And gold.

  The Crown Heroes had arrived.

They moved with impossible speed, landing across the ruined street in perfect formation. Their armor shone like polished sunlight against the dark chaos of the battlefield. Symbols of the Solaris Kingdom glowed across their chests as energy blades ignited in their hands.

The crowd erupted in desperate relief.

  “The Crown Heroes!”

  “Our saviors!”

Cheers broke through the chaos as the legendary warriors launched themselves toward the monster.

The first hero moved like lightning.

His glowing blade cut through the air in a blazing arc of golden light. The strike carved deep into the creature’s molten armor, sending shards of burning stone flying across the street.

The Rage Beast roared in fury.

Another hero leapt forward, spinning through the air with a radiant spear of energy that pierced the monster’s shoulder.

A third warrior descended from above like a falling star, slamming into the creature with explosive force.

  One strike.

  Another.

  Then another.

  The battle lasted only seconds.

The Rage Beast staggered under the relentless assault of the Crown Heroes. Its molten veins flickered violently as the heroes unleashed a final synchronized attack.

A storm of golden light erupted across the battlefield.

The monster let out one last deafening roar before its massive body collapsed.

  Its form began to crumble.

The black stone armor fractured apart.

  Molten veins dimmed.

Then the creature disintegrated into burning fragments of rock that scattered across the street.

  Silence fell over Solaris.

For a brief moment, no one moved.

  Then the celebration began.

People flooded back into the streets, cheering wildly as the Crown Heroes stood victorious amid the smoking ruins. Fireworks ignited across the skyline as drones projected bright banners of light into the night sky.

  “Heroes of the Crown!”

  “Our saviors!”

The chant echoed across the city.

Above them, the shining towers of Solaris reflected the radiant glow of the Life Core reactors—the powerful energy source that fueled the entire civilization. Their blue light pulsed steadily across the skyline like artificial stars.

  Humanity had conquered nature.

  Or at least…

  That was what everyone believed.

Far from the cheering crowd, near the edge of the ruined street, one man stood silently.

  He did not cheer.

  He did not celebrate.

  He simply watched.

  His name was Darius Grave.

  Former Life Core scientist.

While the crowd surrounded the Crown Heroes with admiration and praise, Darius walked slowly toward the massive crack left behind by the Rage Beast’s emergence.

Something about the battle felt wrong.

  Not the monster.

  Not the destruction.

But the way it had appeared.

The way it had emerged from the earth itself.

Darius reached the fractured asphalt and crouched down.

Smoke still rose from the shattered road.

Carefully, he placed his hand against the broken surface.

  Warm.

  Too warm.

  Not from fire.

  Not from the monster.

  From something beneath the ground.

  Then he felt it.

  A pulse.

  Slow.

  Deep.

  Alive.

Darius pulled his hand away instantly.

His eyes locked onto the dark crack splitting the street.

Something inside the earth was moving.

From the narrow gap between the broken asphalt, a thin root slowly pushed its way upward.

  It was small.

  Almost delicate.

  But unmistakably alive.

The root twisted gently in the air as if sensing the world above.

Then, just as slowly, it slid back into the darkness beneath the city.

  Darius remained frozen.

He stared at the empty crack.

In the distance, fireworks exploded above Solaris as the crowd continued celebrating the Crown Heroes’ victory.

But Darius understood something they did not.

The Rage Beast had not appeared randomly.

And the earth had not screamed without reason.

  Beneath Solaris City…

  something had begun to awaken.

Something far older than the Crown Heroes.

And far more dangerous than the monster they believed they had just defeated.
