SHORT STORY: TEPHE BREAKS THE FOURTH WALL
Several hours before the start of the UMB Cup, Tephe was sitting in her room in the suite on a holocall to Revi.
“So Adam’s really competing and he plans to use the Black Knight?” Tephe asked as excitement sparkled in her eyes.
“Yup, I can’t wait to see and hear everyone's reaction,” Tephe replied while bouncing up and down excitedly.
“Speaking of Adam, how are things going between you two?” Revi asked curiously.
Tephe sighed in disappointment before saying, “Not well.”
“Did something happen?” Revi asked curiously.
“Tephe nodded sadly before saying,” A reader on RR reported that my mentality is too childlike and I should not be allowed to pursue Adam.”
“Really?”
“Yes, now the author has had to remove all the sections that even hint at that.”
“Oh dear,” Revi replied as she gave her goddaughter a sad look before asking, “What does that mean for future chapters?”
“I don’t know, but it's likely that any chapter or section that I and, by extension, Maya are part of may appear as redacted.”
Revi nodded in understanding before saying, “Considering it’s Christmas, the author must be super busy and not have time to think about rewriting yours and Adam’s entire relationship sub-plot, if he even decides to do that at all.”
“I guess the readers will have to miss any chapters that Maya or I are part of, or at least go read them elsewhere,” Tephe said as tears rolled down her face before adding just before she ended the call, “I have ruined it for all the readers on RR who enjoy the novel.”
Revi, who sat in her bedroom on Fenix Nest, sighed before asking, “How are you going to fix this, author? Or will you even fix this?”

Several dozen ships of various sizes led by a capital ship suddenly appeared from FTL above the planet Trillion in the Sandanar Galaxy,
“Set up the security net. Sensor operator, have all ships move into their assigned positions around the planet.” A woman who sat in the main chair of the capital ship's bridge ordered.
“Yes, ma’am.” The sensor operator replied.
“Administrator Ororis, you may proceed.” The woman said to another woman who stood nearby.
“Thank you, Admiral,” Administrator Ororis replied before turning to the communications operator and saying. “Please open a planet-wide communication.”
“Yes, ma’am.”

Most people on Trillion didn’t notice the moon-sized ship that appeared above the planet because they could not see the sky.
Two of those who couldn’t were Susan and Jessie, who were having a meeting in Jessie’s office in sector eight six six.
"So how does the latest batch look?” Jessie asked as she leaned back in her chair with her feet on her desk.
“Pretty good, we can use all but one of the recordings,” Susan replied as she lounged on the couch.
“What’s wrong with the one we can’t use?”
“I’m pretty sure men aren’t going to want a VR porn experience where their dick gets bitten off.”
“Oh, that incident, well, to be fair, the guy did hit our girl and got what he deserved.
If he wanted that sort of sexual experience, he should have told us beforehand, and we would have found him a girl who was into that.
Although I’m sure there’s some weirdos out there that would be interested.”
“That’s true, well, I will send it over with the rest and let you decide if you want to sell it.”
Jessie was about to reply when the console on her desk suddenly activated the holographic screen, automatically surprising the two women.
Jessie’s console wasn’t the only one that did this. All over the planet, inactive consoles suddenly activated their holographic screens, while those with already active holographic screens had the screens change.
Every holographic screen suddenly showed a woman standing on the bridge of a ship who suddenly spoke.
“Citizens of Trillion, I am Administer Rachel Ororis. I have been sent here by Emperor Daniel Terran himself to conduct a planetary audit.
Until the audit is complete, the planet is sealed, and no ships will be allowed to approach or leave the planet without authorisation. Any attempt to do so will have you treated as a suspect character, and the TISF will move to apprehend you. Should you still resist, they are authorised to use lethal force.
For the planetary audit to go as smoothly and quickly as possible, I highly suggest that you all cooperate with the audit and TISF officers.
Any aggressive action made towards audit or TISF officers will have severe repercussions.”
As Administer Rachel Ororis finished speaking, the holographic screen in Jessie's office disappeared.
“Well, shit.” Jessie cursed as she stared at the place where the holographic screen had been.
“A member of the Ororis family, they must be serious to send one of them,” Susan said in shock.

“Administrator Ororis, we are receiving a communication request from the planet. It appears to be the planet's leader, Lord Dudley.” The communications officer on the capital ship's bridge reported shortly after Rachel finished her planetary address.
“That didn’t take long,” Rachel commented with a smirk before ordering, “Open communications.”
A moment later, the figure of a large man appeared on the viewscreen of the capital ship's bridge.
Terran males were known for their handsomeness and athletic bodies, and it was very rare to meet an overweight Terran. However, the man who appeared on the viewscreen had somehow managed it.
“What is the meaning of this?” the obese man said in anger as soon as the holocall connected.
“I believe you heard my announcement, Lord Dudley,” Rachel replied calmly.
“Of course I heard it, the entire planet heard it, what I want to know is why I wasn’t informed of this audit.”
“The answer to that is quite simple: this is a surprise audit.”
“A surprise? Since when has the emperor started doing surprise audits?”
“He hasn’t, but this is a special case since you have failed to report that your planet's lower levels are entirely run by gangs, even the security personnel down there are gang members, are they not?”
“This is preposterous. What rubbish are you spouting? I will not stand for these false allegations.”
"The fact that you're denying it and that Trillion somehow always avoids the council's scrutiny is only proving that you are indeed involved.
Audit and TISF officers will be arriving to take you into custody momentarily before beginning a search and audit of all your belongings, including homes and businesses. I suggest you don’t resist Lord Dudley.”
“You have no authority.”
“I have every authority; my authority comes directly from the emperor, and in doing so, I am representing the emperor in this.
Or could it be that you believe your authority and standing are higher than that of the emperor's, Lord Dudley?” Rachel asked with narrowed eyes.
“No, of course not, I would never.” Lord Dudley said quickly while waving his pudgy hands.
“Very good, then I suggest you assist my auditors in their duties to the best of your abilities, Lord Dudley,” Rachel said before ending the holocall.
