Veylan got up quickly, Riven′s body was upside down fully covered by the snow. Veylan had no time to help Riven because the turtle didn’t stop attacking.
He fought the turtle fierce fully, but the turtle had a major advantage: it has far better endurance and stamina. Most fights Veylan had often were over in seconds, some maybe a few minutes; but this turtle he fought now for almost twenty minutes, beside that he has suffered much more than the turtle. He wasn’t even sure anymore if Riven was alive!
Once he got a good hit on it, this would be his only chance to help Riven!
To Veylan′s luck, he kind of remembers a little were Riven landed; but he was gone. “I can’t even judge him for that. Who knows what I would’ve done? But even so; the fighting strength got much weaker now with one man less.” As he turned around, he just saw the limb of the turtle coming at full speed towards him.
BAM!
The hit wasn’t the biggest problem; it made him fly against a big rock.
The back of his whole body got hit badly, but then he remembered what worked well before. Veylan needed to use every bit of energy he had. Turtle wanted to bite him again, but he dodged. The turtle bit a whole mountain with its full strength! It lost again two or three tooths. “It worked! But the question is if this works repeatedly?” If the turtle falls over and over in such a trap depends on mainly one factor: its intelligence.
Riven escaped, leaving Veylan alone with the turtle; but he planned to come back. Riven managed to escape all by himself from the snow, he knew that they alone couldn’t make it. So, he did the only thing he thought might work. He escaped into a little cave near him: “In natural structures there are often items to find that are a good help to beat creatures in the area! I need to find something there!
As Riven went deep into the cave he found a door, behind it was something way different than he expected; he thought there might be a cave, a little room or maybe other parts of the mountain. A jungle. He didn’t even know that this was possible. How is it possible that on such a mountain there is a warm jungle where he can even see the sky! He thought about something he once heard, back when he heard this, he didn’t believe a single word. “Is this a pocket dimension? There is no other way.”

Looking around a little bit, he found a sign: “If you want to reach the top, find the white door.” He simply can’t waste any time anymore. Even if the sign says the truth he still needs something for the turtle. Not much after sprinting through the jungle he found a temple. There was a little stone block, on it laid two gloves and a red ball. He touched the ball lightly and instantly burned his fingers. He over saw a description “Infinite fire ball: it is a magma ball that never ever loses heat, here gloves if you want to take it with you.”
Suddenly with the gloves that looked like normal ones he could take the ball easily, only feeling pleasant warmth.
Turning around he saw tendrils growing together, he couldn’t leave the temple anymore.
A moment later something came out of the old spring. It looks abstract, a body only being tendrils.
Even though it was at the other end of the temple it stretched out one of its arms, reaching Riven. In a blink of an eye Riven had strong thick tendrils around his neck, wanting to choke him out. But Riven knew what there was to do.
WOOF!
Riven used the fire ball. The monsters’ arm instantly burned, turning into ash. Right before the fire reached it, it cut off its own arm. Already as it was still crying in pain Riven dashed to it. Jumping on it and hitting it with the fire ball. It was instantly dead.
Its whole body turned into ash; beside an item it dropped.
Tendril arm!
Riven knew what this is, his father had one but using it was a pure disaster. The user would need to cut off the own arm, then the Tendril arm should become the new arm and adapt to the own body even looking like a normal arm when it’s not being used. But doing this would take too long! He needs to get as fast as possible to Veylan.
Meanwhile Veylan fought the turtle without a single break for already an hour! He could bait the turtle another two times, but Veylan was significantly worse than the turtle, it even almost regenerated the injuries from the beginning of the fight!
Veylan was his purest lowest “I can’t anymore…” He wasn’t even really conscious anymore.
He got hit again, and again. He only saw the turtle attacking to bit him.
WHOOOOSH!
He closed his eyes for a moment; the next thing he saw was the turtle rolling on ground because it was on fire. “What? Riven? He saved again, shit.” Riven brought him in the little cave with the fire ball they would also never be cold outside.
“Don’t worry, I got you. I looked at your injuries, they aren′t that bad, with still about fifteen hours left. We need to go!” Riven said slightly angry but didn’t mean it.
The next two thousand meters/six thousand feet went on normal; it was purely monotone and physical; they almost encountered none other animals or monsters.
With time they saw someone, someone Veylan actually planned to stay as much away as possible. The only other guy that wasn’t scared by Lorken′s aura! “He isn’t a normal teenager, he is calm, no. He is way too calm! How can such teenager be so fearless? To be honest I feel much more afraid of him instead of this Lorken!”
