Through the whole journey, there wasn't a moment the three had for a rest. And at one point, Sedric's anger rose to a height where doing things not knowing the length he had to go irritated him.
?"How long to this damned village?" he asked in rage.
?"Just ahead, sire. There is a foot trail that leads through the forest to the village," answered Melavan. Currently, they are running through the forest, and the trees and their leaves covered them from seeing into the far.
?But after Melavan 's words and another half an hour of progressing forward, the group finally jumped out from the forest into a slightly open field. It wasn't a large one, only a slight gap that existed in the forest that divided the whole forest into two parts.
?Once in this open field, Joshua looked down at the grassy field earth and took notice of a commonly used trail made by carriages and footprints.
?"That way; the village should be at the end of this road." Melavan turned to one of the directions on the road, and the group followed his lead. As they went, a noticeable change appeared in the sky as the sun that changed slowly descended to the horizon after a whole day of giving shine and warmth to the world. As it slowly descended, from the east, the moon started to rise up.
?But it wasn't the moon the soldiers or Joshua were familiar with. Much like the sun, but much dimmer, it made a full appearance. There were clear signs upon the rising moon that it was cracked. Some dark and twisted, vein-like things ran through the visible moon, making it appear like it truly is cracked, and in the center of this crack was a large hole that had some strange liquid-like thing spinning like a vortex.
After seeing the sun and now seeing the moon, the soldiers did not get much surprised by their changed appearance, not after what they had witnessed through all this day. And they ignored it, as their main focus now became reaching the village.
?Running at the front of the group, Sedric was once again moving like a beast, but this time he was cautious, not letting his eyes gaze at blood and get the rush of feeling and thrill he got before. And after killing another beast that resembled a little deer but had eight legs, Sedric's gaze turned to the sky in the direction they were running.
?With the fall of the sun and the rise of the moon, the sky and the ground slowly turned dark, and from afar, Sedric saw something of a bubble-shaped light. And it wasn't only him who saw this.

?"Strange, that bubble thing is at the exact same spot as the village," commented Melavan after seeing what Sedric saw.
?Gradually, the whole soldier group saw the bubble-like thing in the distance, and since those who lead the group showed no sign of halting their advance, the soldiers continued to run toward the direction where the village is at.
?Standing from behind the group, Joshua took a glimpse at the bubble-shaped thing in the distance; it was light that he saw in a bubble shape. And as the group got closer to it, the shape became more revealing, appearing to be a bubble that seemed to spread around a piece of ground, covering it from above.
?Joshua's attention on the bubble came to an abrupt halt at once when a sudden scream, or sort of like thing, spread through the air. The soldiers fell to the ground; the weight of the scream was so potent that some soldiers' ears burst and blood flowed out. Both Sedric and Melavan were stunned and looked around in confusion; for the first time in a while through that day, they had a great panic expression upon their faces.
Joshua turned to look around, for he wasn't able to locate the exact direction the voice came from. It just echoed through the whole space at once, giving everyone a chill.
?Looking back at what he saw was the path he arrived from, and it appeared to be overtaken by groups of changed beasts that were following behind them. Even after hearing the extremely potent scream that literally caused the soldiers to fall down, these beasts showed no sign of stopping. It wasn't that they were unaffected by it, as some creatures had clear signs of blood oozing out from their ears and other body parts after hearing the voice; they just ignored what they felt to rush and attack Joshua and the group, proving that what they do isn't by their choice but caused by some other uncontrollable factor.
?From the side, through the forest Joshua and the group had come out of, trees were turned to shreds as a being taller and larger than the trees rose up. It was a beast that was just being created. Countless numbers of flesh and mass gathered into this being for it to be created, and its other body parts formed literally in front of Joshua's and the others' eyes. The only body part that was already created before any of the other bodies was its head, which had risen to the top of this being as its body reached the perfection of its forming.
?At the nearness of its completion, the being stood towering over all of the trees nearby. Its legs are like the legs of a crab, but there were at least a hundred of them clutching together to move forward like how a horse would move its hooves when running. And above these towering crab legs was a being like a worm that had a giant mouth and round eyes gazing around, before finally focusing those large eyeballs at Joshua and the group before it. It emitted its ear-piercing sound once again, shaking the night air. It moved, stomping every tree on its path like crushing some loosely woven spider webs.
?Just from a glance, the confidence the soldiers had against this thing was near zero. Even Melavan and Joshua doubted themselves against this thing, as its height alone counts for more than ten times their own.
