So… I tried this “let’s talk / mediation” thing again, and it’s the same problem as always:

Talking doesn’t work if the other person doesn’t actually want to cooperate.
I shared an idea for how the process could work, but because my father didn’t show up, we didn’t follow the plan.
In the meeting, I had to do a roleplay with 3 versions:
positive (best case)
realistic (what usually happens)
destructive (worst case)
The guy I talked to said he’s never seen someone try so much (book + website + doc idea + lots of attempts). He maybe knows someone who can help with IV job coaching (Meilen), but the info is old (like 6 years), so not sure if it’s still useful.
A big issue: real professional support (official therapist/mediator) would be best, but it basically doesn’t exist / isn’t available for this situation.
I also tried connecting with the Greens / left groups (Stammtisch), but it keeps failing. People always have excuses. Zoom would remove excuses — and that’s exactly why people avoid it, because then it becomes obvious they just don’t want to.
Same with questionnaires (like Uni Zürich): the questions don’t fit real life, they don’t improve them, so it’s not real research — it’s paperwork.
Bottom line: I’m trying, but the system only works if people actually show up and take responsibility. Otherwise it’s just talk with no results.
