Unfortunately, the day after I got sick was on a weekend. I leave it all to Mieko’s hands. I’m counting on you.

May 22, 20XX
Inside my room, I was at my desk, busy writing in my notebook. The walls were pstered with notes underneath the pictures of girls I once dated.
“Urgh… I think I’ll take a break from dating. I don’t wanna get caught three-timing again.”
My phone vibrates which happens to be beside my notebook. A notification pops up and normally, a name would appear if it came from one’s close contacts but instead I receive a phone number. Wondering who the secret caller is, I pick up my phone.
“What? Whose number is this from?”
I unlock the phone by inputting the appropriate digits and then press ‘Messages’. There I see the unknown number and read its message.
“You have orders given to you by Kibe. Follow the instructions below:”
Huh? From Kibe? Takayuki?
I should keep reading.
“You are to seize Mari Chinen’s heart by contacting her. The reason you need to do this is to gain an ally from the opposing side. Her contact number is 090-XXXX-XXXX.”
Wh-What?
“Hold on, you can’t be serious right? I can’t do that!”
And how does he know their contact number? That’s creepy as hell.
“Make sure to inform the rest of the group so that they’d know to stay low. Add my contact number, so that we’d have no problem communicating in the future. My contact number is 090-XXXX-XXXX. Please tell me your contact number as well.”
How can I trust this? Is this really Kibe?
Eventually, I reach the st parts of the message.
“Rest assured, it is me, Kibe Takayuki. I just had a professional contact you…”
Yeah, I think that’s Kibe, only he would say something like this. That’s a lot of trouble only to message me.
There’s a bit more.
“…I can provide you with a week at the very least. Hurry up! I can’t keep pretending to be sick or they’d be skeptical.”
So that’s why he was absent yesterday.
“BUT A WEEK?! THAT’S TOO FAST! I ALSO DON’T WANT TO DATE ANYONE AT THE MOMENT!”
I groan and pnt my face on the notebook. You just had to ask when I didn’t want to…
“Kibe… why would you entrust me with such a tough task?”
But mulling over this issue won’t do anything. Kibe proposed a pn to me, and I doubt anyone has anything better. For that reason, I have to stand up.
“I’m really given no choice here. It’s for the sake of the roof, so I’ll have to cope.”
I sigh and begin typing on my phone.
“Might as well message the others.”
We actually had a group chat, but I guess we forgot Kibe. That’s our bad. Thankfully, since he gave us his contact number I can add him now.
It takes me a few minutes to finish. After that, I roll over to my bed, deciding when I’ll do my task.
Urghh… Why me…
I pretend to ask, even though I know the answer. I’m probably the only guy who has experience with this stuff. But then again, I only did online dating… that’s miles away from real life.
“What should I do? Should I begin?”
I really don’t want to.
“But I have to!”
I groan again and forcefully turn my phone on.
“I’ll send her a friend request today and talk to her tomorrow.”
Tap. Tap. Tap.
The phone states, “Friend Request Sent!”
“I’m gonna enjoy the rest of the day.”
...
..
.
Since I was pretending to be sick, I am here rexing in my home feeling like a king. Currently, I am inside my room watching videos.
Knock. Knock.
I heard a short period of knocking by the door, but the volume of my video was turned on to the max, so I couldn’t hear it at the moment.
The assaint barges in.
“Nakatani’s onii-sama!”
I was startled.
“EEP!” I yelp as I drop to the floor.
Realizing it was only Mieko-chan, I pick myself back up.
“WOULD IT HURT TO KNOCK?!”
“I did, but you wouldn’t answer.”
Figuring, it was probably my fault, I decide to let it go.
“…So, what do you want?”
“How mean. Even though I installed cameras in each room of your friends as extra service.”
“Why would you do that? How did you do that?”
“Maybe one of your people would chicken out. As for the second question, that is a ”
“Hey, if you take me for the maniputive type… then you are absolutely correct, thanks.”
“Hehe,” she chuckles.
“Hold on, don’t tell me you included their bathrooms.”
“I mean… I did say each room.”
“Why would I need to monitor them in the bathroom?”
“Surveilnce.”
That does not answer my question. That is literally the same word.
“I do not need to know what happens in their bathrooms.”
Especially since I 100% do not want to hear or even see what they do in their private time or leisure.
“They aren’t spies that perform some secret activities,” I expin.
“What if they are?”
I am 100% enjoying this conversation. Totally.
“ENOUGH!” I scream, “So how can I monitor them?”
“Like this.”
She heads to my computer and removed all my open tabs. She opens up a program and typed like crazy.
Okay, but was closing my tabs really necessary?
A couple of windows open. Not the real life ones, okay?
“There!” she points at the screen.
The windows open where each boy was respectively at. From there I see mayhem – Masaru was rolling all over his bed, Katsuro was worshipping one of his figurines from his collection, Madoka had just stubbed his toe on a table in the living room, and Takashi was silently reading a light novel series.
“Woah.”
“Do you wanna see where the girls are at right now?”
“Wait, you included the girls? How? Why? Did I even tell you their names?”
“Since I already installed cameras, I figured that I’d install some on the girls as well. I got their contacts easily because Mari only had 3 contacts excluding her parents.”
“Mieko… you angel!”
“Of course, it’s also so I can have a returning customer.”
“Wait a minute, if you meant every room, you meant EVERY room?”
“Yep!”
“Mieko-chan, are you a messenger from heaven?”
“Perhaps…”
This is a chance to see the girls in their truest forms inside the bathroom and while they undress! It’s all for the sake of the roof after all, yep, yep. Research purposes only.
Note: Perv.
“What are we waiting for? Let’s go open them!”
She types a couple of things on my computer and more windows open. One window only showed the living room with no person in sight, another with Rin sketching on her notepad, Yuka was sleeping on her bed like a baby, and Mari stared at her phone.
Hm, I was expecting one or two to be taking a bath, but I guess those moments could be saved for ter. Or for private alone time.
“Okay, enough fooling around,” I state.
I remove all of the windows except Mari’s and Masaru’s. I see that Masaru was zing around.
“What is he doing?” I ask, “No, we can’t have this.”
I grab my phone and contact him.
…
..
.
My phone vibrates and upon clearer inspection, it was Kibe’s number.
“Why is he calling all of a sudden?”
I pick up the phone and start the call.
“Kibe? H-Hello?”
I hear another voice from the other end.
“What are you doing?” he asks, “Don’t you know the game pn?”
“I know, I know, I’m already messaging her.”
“Liar. You were rolling on your bed just a minute ago.”
“H-How did you know? Are you watching me?”
I frantically search for any cameras in my room. But there didn’t seem to be any?
“Was that a wild guess?”
“Just get on with it and start chatting.”
“But-”
He hang up on me.
In frustration, I squirm and yell around.
“GRAAAAAGH!!!”’
Darn it! If only he knew how hard this actually is!
I grasp the phone and check his contacts.
“FINE! I’LL DO I- oh.”
…
..
.
He contacts me again and I pick up the phone.
“What is it this time?” I retaliate.
“Um, Kibe, we might have a slight problem.”
“Do tell.”
“She hasn’t accepted my friend request.”
“Wha?”
I gnced at the other window and Mari was merrily chatting with another person.
“Don’t worry, she’ll see your request soon,” I reassure him.
“Really? What makes you sure?”
“Just wait a few hours and contact me ter.”
“O-Okay then. Got it.”
I hang up and continue surfing videos.
...
..
.
7:07 PM
Before I went to eat dinner, my phone vibrates. It was Masaru.
I pick up the phone.
“Didn’t I tell you? It was only a matter o-”
“Kibe.”
“Hm?”
“She declined my request.”
“…”
Fuck.
