How it began

  17 April 2028

  Los-Angeles, USA

“They captured New York!” Those were the first words I heard from my 23-year-old daughter. I knew then that the world was about to fall. Asia was gone. We had almost lost contact with Europe. I’m writing this for some future survivor who might find this in the ruins of my home—maybe while scavenging for food or shelter.

Anyway… The first sightings of the so-called “furries” were recorded in Pakistan, at a military base. According to some survivors, they appeared almost godlike—which is strange, because the furries we’ve seen so far are just stronger than average humans. But they’re definitely not gods. That part never made sense to me.

The first cases were reported on 4 November 2024, and the northern regions of Pakistan were quarantined on 7 November. Furries broke through the quarantine and overran the entire country by 2 December.

On 2 March, India unched nuclear missiles at Pakistan, but most of them were shot down—by the furries themselves. That’s when we knew they were intelligent. As intelligent as humans.

On 25 March, they broke another quarantine and started marching toward Delhi to infect as many people as possible. India responded by nuking Delhi. It didn’t work.

Now, let’s talk about the nature of these creatures. They have traits that no known animals on Earth possess. It’s almost like they’re aliens… But according to all data, they were created here, on Earth. Strange.

They infect people using their saliva or a strange substance called biomass. It looks like a thick, glue-like slime. If even a small amount of it enters your bloodstream, it’s over. Transformation begins.

Their biomass works like some kind of nanorobotic swarm—it transforms you from the inside, reshaping your entire body. We still don’t understand how it works. The transformation can take anywhere from a few minutes to a full day.

Contaminated water is also dangerous. Furries often infect entire cities by releasing biomass into the water supply.

Oh, I almost forgot to describe how they look. Have you heard of the furry fandom? Those crazy people who dress as animal-people? Yeah. They look like that. But usually, they take the form of anthropomorphic wolves or cats. It’s rare to see bunnies, fish, or reptiles. Almost no one has reported seeing those types.

I’ve lost all hope of winning this war. They’re too smart. They talk like us. They think like us. But something about them is… wrong. Something in their minds changed. Even they can’t expin it.

...Oh no. I hear screaming. They’re here.
