7. On-going Life.

For the next four months, Ji Yuxi’s life took a turn for the better.

No more fixing angry robots. No more worrying about food every second of the day. No more broke life crisis (well, mostly).

Because Ji Yuxi had discovered his true calling.

  Writing novels.

It all started one zy afternoon when Ji Yuxi was sitting on the rickety couch in their tiny house, staring at the wall in deep thought.

He was pregnant, tired all the time, and couldn't do any strenuous work. Xiao Yu refused to let him lift a finger, Lan kept handing him weird nutrition drinks, and Ji Xing refused to leave his side.

So, with nothing else to do, he decided to write a novel.

And not just any novel—a legendary, dramatic, face-spping story of epic proportions!

  Ji Yuxi titled his novel:

“Emperor’s Harem: The Rise of the Ruthless Heroine”

A thrilling, dramatic tale about an ancient Earth empress who was betrayed by her own harem, exiled, and then rose from the ashes to rule the empire with an iron fist and a sharp tongue.

It had betrayal! Face-spping! Handsome scumbags getting what they deserved!

  And most importantly…

A heroine who was smarter than everyone combined.

Earth’s ancient culture had long been forgotten in the interstelr era. People had never heard of emperors, harems, or political schemes involving concubines fighting for power.

So, when Ji Yuxi published the first few chapters online…

  BOOM! It went viral.

Comments flooded in like a tsunami.

[User123]: WHAT IS THIS MASTERPIECE?! WHY DIDN’T I KNOW ABOUT EARTH CULTURE BEFORE?![MoonStar_99]: I WANNA BE THE EMPRESS TOO!! KILL ALL THE SCUMBAGS!!![MrRichGuy]: Author, take my money. Just keep writing.[EmperorFanatic]: The Empress is my new god. BOW BEFORE HER!!At first, Ji Yuxi thought he was hallucinating when he saw the earnings report.

  50,000 STAR COINS.

And that was just from fans sending him gifts.

Forget robot repairs and manual bor.

  Writing was his true future!

Ji Yuxi leaned back on the couch, stroking his belly dramatically.

“Children… Your father is officially rich.”

While Ji Yuxi was busy accidentally becoming a best-selling author, Xiao Yu and Lan were also doing surprisingly well.

Originally, Xiao Yu had only five students.

But after word spread that his teaching was effective (and that he was good-looking, which helped his reputation for some reason), his number of students exploded.

Now, he was tutoring 12 children.

  And the best part?

Each child paid 50 star coins per session.

That was 600 star coins per session.

  Which meant… he was RICH.

Every time Ji Yuxi and Xiao Yu sat down to discuss their household budget, Ji Yuxi always stared at him enviously.

Ji Yuxi: “Why do you have so much money?”Xiao Yu: “Because I work hard?”Ji Yuxi: “I also work hard! My hands are swollen from typing!”Xiao Yu: “Oh yes, poor you, sitting on the couch all day writing stories.”

  Ji Yuxi: (╬ ?益?)

Lan, on the other hand, continued his life as a hunter.

Since he was stupidly strong, faster than most beasts, and emotionless even while fighting, he easily earned 80-100 star coins per hunt.

One day, after a particurly successful hunting trip, Lan walked up to Xiao Yu and, in the most serious tone ever, said:

  “I love you.”

Xiao Yu froze mid-sip of his tea.

  “...What?”

  Lan blinked. “I love you.”

Xiao Yu’s face turned red faster than a malfunctioning spaceship.

Ji Yuxi, who was watching from the side, was screaming internally.

Xiao Yu: “...You don’t even have memories. How do you know you love me?”Lan: “I just do.”Xiao Yu: “....”Lan: “Marry me.”

  Ji Yuxi: (⊙_⊙;)

Xiao Yu stared at him in shock for a full minute before sighing and nodding.

  “Fine. Let’s get registered.”

Lan simply nodded like it was the most natural thing in the world.

Ji Yuxi:....No wait...I feel some drama, heartache, emotion, tear-jerking misunderstaning...are missing...

The next day, they went to the registration office to make it official.

Of course, Ji Yuxi went along—as a supportive friend (and also to make sure they didn't somehow mess it up).

The worker at the office raised an eyebrow when they saw them.

  “Names?”

  “Lan.”“Xiao Yu.”

Ji Yuxi: “And I’m the third-wheel witnessing this disaster.”

The worker ignored Ji Yuxi and stamped the documents.

  DING! MARRIAGE SUCCESSFULLY REGISTERED.

Lan looked at Xiao Yu. “You’re my wife now.”

Xiao Yu facepalmed. “Oh my god. I regret everything.”

Later that night, Ji Yuxi, now resting on the couch with his belly sticking out, looked at Xiao Yu.

“So, how does it feel to be a married man?”

Xiao Yu sighed dramatically. “I’m married to a man with no memories and no emotions. Is this my fate?”

Lan, sitting beside him, tilted his head. “I have emotions.”

  Xiao Yu: “Name one.”

  Lan: “Love for my wife.”

Xiao Yu choked on his drink.

  Ji Yuxi burst into ughter.

As things settled down, Ji Yuxi finally went for another check-up.

The doctor, after scanning him, nodded seriously.

  “Congratutions. It’s twins.”

  Ji Yuxi blinked.

  TWINS.

He was about to have TWO tiny humans screaming at him.

Ji Yuxi looked at his stomach, sighed, and whispered:

“…Children, please go easy on your father.”

For the first time since they had crash-nded on this pnet, Ji Yuxi didn’t feel like life was against him.

Sure, he was still pregnant.Sure, Xiao Yu was still arguing with Lan about being called ‘wife’.Sure, Ji Xing was now his shadow.

  But at least…

No wait...Isn't life way too messed up?
