Soon it was noon. C.C. and Rulu, pushing a cart loaded with their purchases, went to a restaurant near the mall for lunch. Suddenly, sirens blared outside the restaurant, and numerous military vehicles kept passing by on the main road outside.
Rulu looked out through the restaurant's glass windows and saw that some of the vehicles were cargo trucks transporting goods, while others were armored combat vehicles mounted with rocket launchers. There were a great number of vehicles, and the convoy took nearly half an hour to pass by completely.
"So many vehicles going by at once. It looks like something major has happened," C.C. said thoughtfully, looking in the direction outside the restaurant.
"It might be related to what happened last night," Rulu said, recalling the previous night's events when he had gone to investigate Prince Su Wen about the murder of his mother and sister. In the end, his whereabouts were exposed, and his attempt to assassinate Prince Su Wen failed. This commotion might have been triggered by last night's assassination attempt.
"What happened last night?" C.C. asked.
Because of C.C.'s special identity, and because she already knew he was a prince, Rulu told C.C. about his attempt to assassinate Prince Su Wen the previous night. After listening, C.C. said: "So those troops just now might be after you, Rulu?"
Rulu said: "That's possible, but they could also be looking for you, C.C. We'll find out when we go outside and ask."
After lunch, the two left the restaurant and went out to the street. Rulu looked around and noticed a Sanctuary soldier patrolling nearby. Rulu immediately waved to the soldier, calling out loudly: "Excuse me, soldier—"
"What is it?" The soldier immediately came to Rulu's side, looking puzzled at Rulu who was waving at him.
Rulu took off his black-framed glasses, and with a strange light flashing in his eyes, he stared into the soldier's eyes and said: "Excuse me, soldier, has something happened in Blue Sea City? Why were there so many troops passing through here just now?"
The soldier, caught by Rulu's gaze, first looked stunned, then his face showed a friendly smile as he directly answered:
"Oh, you asked the right person. I happen to know about this. Apparently, last night the newly appointed Governor, Prince Su Wen, was attacked by an assassin. Although the prince was ultimately unharmed, he was greatly frightened, and the Feihu General responsible for protecting him was slightly injured.
The Feihu General suspects that last night's assassination attempt is related to the rebels, so he issued orders to strengthen security throughout Blue Sea City. They will search for all suspicious persons throughout the city and mobilize a large number of troops to launch a full-scale attack on rebel organizations outside Blue Sea City. The troops you saw just now are going to eliminate the rebels outside the city."
"I see. By the way, have you heard anything about a young woman with green hair?" Rulu asked further.
The soldier thought for a moment, then said: "I think there was something, but it's not specifically about green hair. We were told to pay special attention to young women between seventeen and twenty years old in Blue Sea City. If we find any young women of uncertain identity, we must detain them immediately, take their photos, and send the photos to the Feihu General or Prince Su Wen as soon as possible."

"Good, thank you. You can go to other places now," Rulu said. The soldier turned around, left Rulu, and walked to the corner to go to another street.
"Look at the trouble you caused last night. Now you've brought fire upon yourself?" C.C. emerged from behind a nearby billboard and came to Rulu's side. She had also heard what the soldier said.
"It's fine. They probably don't know who the assassin was, or they wouldn't suspect the rebels," Rulu frowned and said thoughtfully. "Wait, if they really are going to eliminate the rebels outside the city, then Captain Guan and his people might be in danger. I need to find a way to notify them."
With this in mind, Rulu found a public phone booth nearby and dialed the number Captain Guan had previously given him.
The call connected, and a man's voice came from the other end: "Hello, this is Daidong Hotel in Haitian Town. How may I help you?"
Rulu deliberately spoke with a hoarse voice: "Please relay a message to a guest with the surname Huang in your hotel. Tell him that many people in Blue Sea City wish to harm him. He and his companions should flee in a direction away from Blue Sea City immediately. The sooner the better—there will be danger to their lives if they delay."
The person on the other end was silent for a few seconds, then spoke in a cautious, low tone: "May I ask who you are and what relation you have to Mr. Huang?"
Rulu said: "Just tell him it's the young magic Psionic power user he met a few days ago. He'll understand."
"Understood," the man on the other end said quickly before hanging up.
"What should we do next?" C.C. asked.
"Let's go back first. I'm worried about Nana being alone at home—it might not be very safe," Rulu said with concern. Afterward, he and C.C. headed back, choosing secluded, less-traveled paths to avoid the Sanctuary troops.
Although they tried their best to avoid Sanctuary soldiers, they still encountered two checkpoints where Sanctuary soldiers were questioning people. Each time, Rulu used his Spiritual-power to control the Sanctuary soldiers to get through.
More than two hours later, after making sure they weren't being followed, Rulu and C.C. returned to the secret house in the cemetery forest. As soon as they entered the house, Rulu felt something was off because the furniture seemed to have been moved, and there were messy footprints on the floor.
Rulu and C.C. went down to the secret basement, where they found Nana sitting on the sofa in the living room. As soon as she saw Rulu and C.C. appear, Nana stood up and looked at them with panicked eyes.
"What's wrong? What happened? Has someone been in the house?!" Rulu immediately asked, noticing that Nana seemed distressed.
Nana said anxiously: "Yes, at noon today, I heard the doorbell ring once, so I ran to the monitoring room to check. I saw Uncle Chen and two men who looked like soldiers enter the house. The two soldiers walked around, as if looking for something, searching everywhere in the house."
"That such a thing happened... It seems this place isn't absolutely safe either," Rulu said with concern. He then asked Nana: "This Uncle Chen you mentioned, is he the cemetery's caretaker and manager, that old man surnamed Chen?"
Nana nodded and said: "Yes, that's him. Although I've only met Uncle Chen a few times when I was little, I wouldn't mistake him. Uncle Chen knew my father before, and though they didn't contact each other often, they always had a good relationship privately."
Rulu pondered and said: "I see. Since this Uncle Chen is the caretaker and manager of this cemetery, and he had a good private relationship with Mayor Qiao, this house was likely obtained through him by Mayor Qiao. Uncle Chen probably knows this house has a basement. The fact that he didn't tell the soldiers about it means he's helping us."
Nana said: "That's what I thought too. I saw from the monitors that Uncle Chen was talking to the two soldiers all the time and slipped a lot of money to them. The two soldiers just looked around casually in the house, didn't disturb much, and after finding nothing, they left with Uncle Chen."
Hearing this, Rulu couldn't help but feel relieved and said: "That's good then. Although I don't know if Uncle Chen knows we're living here, he probably wouldn't harm us. We should still be safe staying here."
