Rulu felt very uncomfortable. He lay in bed, hoping to fall asleep quickly to relieve the discomfort in his head, but after lying down, the discomfort didn't subside; instead, it intensified.
Rulu felt as if something in his brain was constantly expanding. His head felt like it was about to explode, and his eyes felt as if they were being pierced by steel needles. Rulu lay in bed for two or three hours, but the severe pain in his head prevented him from falling asleep.
"What's happening? Why is my head hurting so much? This has never happened before!" Rulu's mind was in chaos. He felt unable to control his thoughts. Hallucinations appeared in his mind, and various strange images flashed before his eyes—sometimes smiling faces, sometimes angry faces—almost driving Rulu mad.
"I see, it's that green-haired woman. It must be that strange Spiritual-power she gave me that's making me like this." Rulu suddenly remembered that before meeting the green-haired woman, his body never had such problems. He suspected it was the power given to him by the green-haired woman that was causing his mental instability.
"That woman, that damned woman, it's you who made me like this. Where are you? Come out now!" Rulu pounded his head with his fists, trying to alleviate the pain, but this only made the suffering more intense. Rulu fell onto the bed, curled up, holding his head, feeling as if his mind was about to collapse.
"Ding dong" "Ding dong" —
Just then, the sound of a doorbell came from the direction of the living room. Rulu jerked up from the bed. He thought that only he and Nana knew about this house, and now it was the middle of the night. Who could be ringing the doorbell at such a time? Could it be the Sanctuary's army had found them?
Rulu quickly put on his clothes, went to the monitoring room, and looked at the surveillance screen. His face froze in shock. He rushed out of the basement, went to the house on the ground floor, and opened the door.
"I heard you were looking for me?" A flirtatious, bell-like young woman's voice sounded in front of Rulu.
Along with these words, a young woman wearing a black cloak over a white robe, with long green hair, appeared before Rulu. The woman had a somewhat mischievous expression on her face and was staring at Rulu with her sharp gaze.
"It's you, you evil witch!" Rulu snarled. He grabbed the green-haired woman's hand and forcibly dragged her inside, closing the door.
"What are you doing? Can't you be a little gentler with me? After all, I saved your life before." The green-haired woman complained. She didn't resist and obediently followed Rulu into the brightly lit hall.

Rulu released the woman. He gathered his thoughts, pressed his hand against his forehead, and stared at the green-haired woman's fair face, saying: "You... how did you get here? Weren't you already..." Rulu wanted to say that the woman had died, but remembering Prince Su Wen's words that this woman couldn't be killed, he stopped.
"You were going to say I was already dead, right?" The green-haired woman rubbed her wrist where Rulu had grabbed her, speaking with an indifferent expression. "Unfortunately, I'm not so easy to kill. If I had truly died then, it would have been a blessing for me."
"Let's not discuss whether you died or not for now. How did you find this place? Have you been following me?" Rulu organized his thoughts and asked the green-haired woman.
"I wasn't following you; I just knew your location." The green-haired woman said while curiously examining her surroundings. "Your house is quite nice—big and bright. Can you show me the bathroom? I haven't bathed for several days..."
"Be serious. I have questions for you." Rulu held the woman's face with both hands, forcing her to look at him. "I'm asking you, what did you do to me that day in the underground tunnel? Why is my head hurting so much? Is this your doing?!"
"Yes, but not entirely." The green-haired woman blinked, looking at Rulu's pained face, and said: "It seems your mental damage is quite severe. What have you been doing these days? Using the power I gave you recklessly?"
"So it was you playing tricks!" Rulu tried to look fierce and said to the green-haired woman: "Why did you do this, woman? Why are you hurting me?!"
As he spoke, the headache started again. He showed a pained expression, his body trembled nervously, and cold sweat poured from his forehead.
The green-haired woman sighed. Her eyes showed a faint sadness as she softly said: "Does it hurt very much? Here, let me help you." She reached out with both hands toward Rulu's head.
Rulu initially wanted to step back and avoid her, but seeing the sadness in the woman's eyes, he felt moved and stayed where he was without resisting.
The green-haired woman placed her palms on Rulu's temples. She looked at Rulu's eyes with a strange gaze. Rulu felt something being drawn out of his brain. He felt the expanding pain in his brain recede, his mind gradually stabilize, and his emotions become less agitated than before.
"There, it should be fine for now. Later, I'll help you with a deeper repair."
After about ten minutes, the green-haired woman said this and removed her hands from Rulu's head. Rulu also let out a sigh of relief. By now, the pain and discomfort in his head had completely disappeared.
"What... what just happened to me? And what did you do to me?" With his headache gone, Rulu's mood improved, and he spoke calmly to the green-haired woman.
The green-haired woman replied with annoyance: "It's all your own fault. If you hadn't used the power I gave you at such high frequency and intensity, you wouldn't have ended up like this."
Rulu was stunned. After thinking briefly, he said: "Are you saying that using that Spiritual-power to control others also causes mental damage to myself?"
"Of course. You didn't really think you could use such power freely, did you? When you use this power to influence others, you also suffer mental damage. The more you use it and the greater the intensity, the more severe your mental damage will be."
Rulu understood now. He complained: "If this power backfires on the user, why didn't you tell me earlier? In the end, it's still you who harmed me."
The woman's bright eyes widened, showing some displeasure: "Now you're blaming me? Have you forgotten that after I gave you this power, I died immediately? How could I have told you?"
