Chapter 12: Self-Destruct Technique

Anos noticed something quite bizarre over the last year. Perhaps any other person would never have made such a discovery. They likely would've thought that they were going insane in this 'dream valley'.

Anos knew that he was somehow isolated in space. It was as if the finite forest stretched into infinity. One day, Anos wanted to practice a new spell on one of his blood clones. So he recalled it to the cave. But despite still clearly having a connection to himself.

  He couldn't find his cave!

It was as if the terrain was shifting. There were 'chunks' that seemed to switch around. If it was a normal person. They would likely become lost.

But Anos could feel his position. This was when he noticed the terrain was shifting. It was as if this forest was entangled in multiple states and when someone with consciousness observed it. It collapsed into a specific location.

Despite his clone becoming lost. It eventually found its way.

  Anos then got an idea.

"The lack of landmarks and the endless forest make it easy to 'switch'. It is as if it has a connection with the wilderness across the entire world."

"So all I have to do is make a landmark..."

Anos planned on destroying the entire forest!

Anos left his cave and within a few minutes. He saw both his clones kneeling towards him. Anos felt he needed to have some appearance as the leader. Habits need to be ingrained into himself in order to play the part in the future.

He wouldn't want others to realize all his clones were the same person!

"The question is... How should I go about destroying this forest?"

Anos couldn't create much material with his blood alone. It was limited and time consuming. But to imbue spells into wood could prove to be useful in establishing a base.

Anos didn't want to set it all on fire. He felt he could use the materials to build a base. So he began to chop EVERY tree in the forest.

  A few months later.

Anos had not only chopped down every tree. But he had stripped them of their bark and organized the branches. This no longer looked like a forest. It was just a bunch of trunks stretching endlessly into the distance.

He of course didn't do this himself. It was his blood clones that did the heavy lifting.

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

Anos eventually constructed a village. Surrounding this village was a flatland.

The dream valley seemed to become less mysterious. Anos did various test and found that it wasn't 'switching' its location anymore. He also confirmed the relic wasn't above ground from his construction.

From that moment on. He got no more visitors. It was as if he was in his own world.

  The years went by...

Anos was now 40 years old! He had reached the ninth level of qi condensation. He had been at the eighth level for years. But now, he had broken through the bottleneck awhile back.

But he still looked to be in his youth.

Anos felt his speed was acceptable.

His avatar was at the eighth level. His clones were at the seventh level.

The amount of incarnations in his sea of incarnations was still at two. Anos wasn't sure how to increase this number. Anos no longer explored the dream valley.

This place was built by his clones piece by piece. The dream valley. The legend of this world. It had been destroyed and transformed into his own village.

A sort of ghost village as it was empty.

Anos sat in the cultivation room of his house. Inside of the room was both of his pawns. They were forming a closed loop by holding hands.

Anos was using his clones to boost his comprehension.

Today was a special day. Anos was going to breakthrough to the tenth level of qi condensation! Over the years, he was like a genius and cultivated both of his eyes into the eyes of god.

Even his clones had this innate ability!

But the clones couldn't help Anos breakthrough. He needed to rely on his own accumulation. So why were they with him now? Anos was trying to form a forbidden technique by using their insane comprehension. A technique that could multiply ones strength!

Anos could naturally cause his body to explode from spiritual energy deviation. But the explosion wasn't deadly to others. Maybe to a mortal. But Anos had no idea what he would face when he left his village.

So Anos was developing a technique that would burn ALL the potential of the body in exchange for a few seconds of insane fighting power and then transforming the person into a ticking time bomb.

He named this technique 'I am Immortal'.

Why have this name that was completely unrelated to its function? Anos might not have noticed it himself. But his personality had become slightly twisted.

He just thought of creating a misleading technique so that if it was somehow leaked. The stealer of his technique would find themselves with a huge boost in power. But they would then blow up!

Also. He pictured himself in the future at his wits end and then activating this technique.

  "I am Immortal!"

Anos wondered what would go through the mind of the person as he became many times stronger then before? Then when he was winning from the huge difference in strength. He would blow up out of nowhere.

How would anyone expect a suicide technique to be called 'I am Immortal'?

Anos hadn't tested out this spell with his clones. Mostly because he felt a bit heartache at the thought of having to make another one. It was a lot of effort to create a blood clone.

The other reason was because the explosion covered a LARGE range! If before, his explosion could be said to be a bit weaker then a grenade. Now, it was comparable to a small nuke.

His main body wasn't even capable of using this technique to its full potential. The real secret to it being so strong had to do with the dantian that all his clones had.

In his sea of consciousness. He had his avatar do the technique and despite his avatar lacking a dantian. The explosion was massive and could shake his consciousness.

Of course, he didn't need to say the technique to activate it. But isn't yelling out the name of the technique part of the fun?

"I still have no idea how to leave this village..."
