Eryndra stood in the special viewing area at the highest level, surrounded by a deep blue sky that seemed to burn with rising fervor. Her eyes locked onto the center of the arena, focused with unwavering intensity. There, stood someone she knew better than anyone.
Ladynne Gan.
His face still bore that faint smile that never left, but his eyes blazed with a calm and unbreakable resolve. His blonde hair fluttered gently in the magical breeze, and though his body was small, he stood firm—ready for whatever came his way.
His first opponent rose from the opposite platform—a silver-haired teenage boy, his body surrounded by an aura of crackling lightning that surged wildly from his fingertips to the ground. The crowd roared as his name echoed through the arena:
“Rael of Astria Academy!”
Lightning began to dance around Rael, forming streaks of light like roots of thunder that crept into the arena floor. Each step sparked, and a confident smile played on his lips.
Eryndra raised an eyebrow. "Mastery of a lightning-imbued body. This is a true test." But she believed Ladynne Gan would be just fine. "He is more than even he realizes."
The signal was given.

In an instant, Rael vanished in a flash of lightning—reappearing right in front of Ladynne Gan with a blinding spark. But Ladynne Gan, still wearing his calm smile, merely stepped to the side.
Yami ?30 (light)
He circled the arena.
Rael’s lightning attacks surged toward Ladynne Gan, but he moved at the speed of light. Rael grunted, spinning to strike from behind—only to find Ladynne already elsewhere.
A single light punch from Ladynne Gan—seemingly gentle—was enough to stop Rael’s momentum and send him flying back.
The crowd fell silent for a moment, before erupting into cheers—the grace and precision of Ladynne’s movements were like a dance. Retheara and Iryndra simply exchanged small smiles, proud in silence.
And this was only the beginning.
Rael rose again, lightning marks scorched into the ground around him, his eyes now far more serious. He raised his hand high, and lightning shot into the sky—only to crash back down, enveloping his body. His aura now crackled furiously, making the very ground pulse with electric force.
“I didn’t expect you to be this strong,” said Rael, with a voice caught between awe and frustration.
Ladynne Gan remained silent, his small smile unshaken.
Rael suddenly drew a short blade forged from lightning and launched himself forward at blinding speed (Entein ?20)—his entire form condensed into a lightning bolt that moved faster than the eye could follow.
But Ladynne Gan dodged—one step… two steps…
Rael’s strike shattered the arena floor, but never touched Ladynne Gan.
In a blink, Rael appeared from above—crashing down like lightning meant to obliterate the earth.
BOOM!!
A thunderous burst of lightning exploded, throwing dust and light across the arena. The crowd screamed, unsure who had been hit. Eryndra squinted through the light.
The smoke began to clear… and from the center of the newly-formed crater stood a figure—unburnt, untouched.
Ladynne Gan.
His eyes now glowed with a faint green light—different from before.
He emanated a stormy yellow glow from his body and stepped forward. Each step echoed like a tremor. He moved behind Rael, raised his hand, touched Rael’s chest with two fingers—and released a yellow-black light (Yami ?30).
Rael collapsed gently to the ground, eyes wide, sweat soaking his face.
Defeated by sheer difference in strength.
The crowd fell silent.
Then—an eruption of cheers.
“Winner: Ladynne Gan!”
Eryndra stood, clapping slowly. At the center of the arena, Ladynne Gan stood quietly, wearing nothing but that small, unshaken smile—calm, and breathtaking in his silence.
