Being worthy

I have given Luxian exactly 3 days for the next pill, because the human body is not meant to absorb too many pills that fast, not even Perfect-grade ones. Pus, his Divine Elder will need some time to fly around and recruit girls from among his acquaintances' clans.

However, I could see their feeble, greedy plans from a mile away, sending a disposable Young Master to the new Tower that could sell Divine Swords, and try to steal some cultivation secrets. It even made sense, in a sad way. Divine Weapons were the kinda equivalent of nuclear weapons from my old life, and any sect or clan with an arsenal of them was indeed much stronger than those without.

Well, they were in for a surprise, as their Young Master was well on the way to becoming a loyal disciple, just like anyone else in the Tower. Part of it was the good treatment and quality training, and the other part was my Revered Ancestor perk.

It was like mind control, but without anything of the sort. I deliberately tested this on the new Divine recruits, which should have been far harder to control and indoctrinate by a mere Saint like myself.

But, just today, my father-in-law stepped forward to join me inside the Soul Array and protect me while we dealt with the portal. This was completely opposite of the man's character, lazy and sneaky. Perhaps the constant training also helped?

Anyway, this change would serve him well in the Libra Army. Relations between soldiers were based on comradery and hard work, because their lives depended on it. Lazy and sneaky wouldn't cut it.

Bai was waiting for me as I shifted back, her eyes glinting with desire. "Pef, you saw what happened, right?" she asked in a proud voice.

I nodded and ruffled her white-hair. "You trained hard, and now the results show up. It won't be long before you're ready to ascend." I said with a kind smile.

Bai smiled back, and leaned into my hand. "It's already been two months since we first met." she whispered in a horny voice.

"Come with me" I asked, and flew towards the Alchemy Hall.

Grandpa Xialong was training in the Sword array, so we had the hall to ourselves. Bai noticed this too, and looked around for a lovers' corner. "You have a nice bed in your room, husband. Why bring me here?" she asked a bit confused.

I just shook my head, and fired up the Saint Cauldron. "I brought you here as a good luck charm, of course. I'm trying to make my first Perfect Saint pill, the Dragon Soul." I revealed, while floating a dozen expensive herbs I obtained from the Heaven Basin. Then I thought better, and added a few drops of Nether Water.

I didn't want to waste the precious herbs, and especially not when my loving wife was watching. I could fail miserably later, all alone.

A single rice-size bit of Dragon marrow flew into the cauldron, and then I closed the lid and started cooking.

With my own soul at Divine Realm now, making Saint pills was much easier, despite still not having the Divine Fire that cultivators with Divine Essence could make. But I doubted many Saint Realm Alchemists in the world could train so hard, and waste so many herbs like I did. Failure was the mother of learning after all, and I had failed many, many pills in my short life as a cultivator. Some might say too many, but I simply counted my failures as experience.

"Do you need all those hand movements? You're not using gestures when fighting with the energy swords." Bai asked curious,

and quite intelligently. But then, who had time to make mysterious hand seals when running and dodging for their life? I already forgot to use hand gestures with my swords.

"Of course, I don't. The hand gestures are there to make Alchemists look cool. Like they are directing the movements of Heaven and Earth. It's all in the mind." I explained patiently, while swirling the hot paste of the Saint pill into a spinning sphere.

"You do look very cool, husband..." Bai whispered and blew her warm breath in my ear.

A lesser man, or someone without the Unbreakable Will perk, might have failed right there, ruining the pill and wasting the precious herbs. I just smiled, and lowered one hand to grab her ass. "You horny rabbit. I have the feeling you can't wait to be bred by your husband." I observed with my brilliant mind, and continued the pill refinement with a single hand.

"Oh, how can you tell?" Bai wondered, wrapping her body around me and grabbing my dick with a firm hand. And I do mean firm, since her Body Cultivation outmatched mine by at least a level, maybe two.

Without looking back, I sent a privacy array to lock the Alchemy Hall's door, then grabbed Bai's head and lowered it in front of my dick. "Help me relax, if you're so horny. Saint pills are a bit difficult."

Bai kissed the tip of my dick, then started wrapping her tongue around it, making the pill refining even harder, than it already was. On the other hand, this was quite relaxing too. It also made my mind split into diligence for my craft and the pleasure of a divine mouth on my dick.

I lasted a long while, since Saint pills did take hours to cook properly, and timed my own release with the pill's creation.

But while Bai was draining my balls with her hungry mouth, I drew the pill in my hand and just stared at it.

'Divine Dragon Spirit Pill. Raises the Soul cultivation to Divine Realm level 1, worth 3 million Divine Crystals'

This wasn't a Perfect Saint pill at all. It was so much more. It seemed I will have to change my pill refining method to incorporate mind-blowing pleasure into the routine. And dick-blowing as well.

"What is it?" Did you fail?" Bai asked after gulping her Yang liquid gift.

Well, yes. I failed upwards, though. It might have been the Dragon bone marrow, or the Nether Water as well, which were add-ons suggested in the last moment by my Bewildering Brilliance perk. So it sort of made sense for a bewildering result.

"I made a Divine pill instead. You were truly my lucky charm." I answered with a smile, then tucked my dick inside my pants as Grandpa ghost appeared beside me, ignoring the privacy array like it wasn't there.

"I've heard of lucky rabbit foot charms, but it seems their mouths also work." Grandpa spoke in a weird voice, holding my pill afloat and observing it from all sides.

Bai coughed and blushed, then hid behind me like a shy rabbit.

"I can't tell the quality of the pill, Grandpa. Is it Perfect-grade?" I asked in a serious voice.

The old ghost glanced at me for a second, then returned to study the pill. "It is Perfect-grade yes. Beyond perfect, in fact. This is what happens if you take something perfect and upgrade it even more, transcending its realm."

I blinked, a bit confused by the explantion. "So, if this was a Perfect technique, it would change its grade to the next realm? Because I've done that with a few combat techniques."

"Similar, yes. It wasn't supposed to happen before a million years of Alchemy practice, though. You might be a true genius, Young Master." Grandpa spoke in a slightly respectful voice.

"Wait! If I reach the same level with an Immortal pill...would it become a Celestial pill?" I rushed to ask in a hopeful voice.

Grandpa stared at me for a minute with a strange gaze, like seeing me for the first time. "That would work, yes. It is also the Grand Dao of Alchemy that nobody has managed to do, not yet anyway."

"Pef, I'm sure you can do it! Although we will have to repeat this procedure many times...I don't mind being your lucky charm."

Bai spoke in a horny voice, sounding quite interested in sucking my dick for a billion years.

Grandpa frowned and gazed at Bai for a minute, then nodded. "As strange as that may sound, I suggest you keep practicing this method of yours, Young Master. The Heavens work in mysterious ways..." he uttered in a mystical voice, then vanished like a ghost.

"Eh? Grandpa approves? And stole your Divine pill..." Bai exclaimed in surprise.

'You're giving it to Feng, I suspect?' I asked in my mind. My Phoenix wife would benefit the most from a Divine Soul.

'Why even ask if you already know? Make another pill for that horny rabbit.' Grandpa replied in a grumpy tone.

I dropped my pants, and took out another set of precious herbs. "Now I have to make another pill..." I spoke in a sad voice.

Bai grabbed my dick and pumped it a few times with her hand. "Go on, husband. I'll help you practice." she whispered with an enticing voice, then gobbled my dick once more.

To my shame, the second pill didn't fail, and emerged as a Perfect Dragon Soul pill, in Saint Realm.

So I had to try again, and again, only managing to fail the right way the 6th time, for another Divine Dragon Spirit Pill.

Bai sat in my arms, and stared at her gift with wide eyes. "This reminds me of the times we were alone in the Tower, and you were so horny every day...I had to drain your balls six times a day." she said in a reminescing voice.

I smiled and patted her head, reviewing my teenage years' memories. I was quite lucky to have such a pretty girl beside me.

"Good times, right?" I asked with a sneaky voice.

"Now I see you far less, and you're always humping Sister Ming in a hundred ways. Just gossip isn't the same...I want the real thing too." Bai complained in a pitiful tone.

"You're keeping count, how many positions I do with Ming?" I asked in surprise.

"It's like, every week you invent a new way to impregnate a woman! How many ways can there be!" Bai exclaimed in a fake outrage.

I smiled, and shook my head. This wasn't inventing anything, just scrolling through old internet pages in my Mental Palace. There had to be thousands more kinky things stored in there. Humanity did have quite a kinky mind.

"I promise, I will have 100 positions only for you, and nobody else. After you ascend." I promised solemnly and offered my pinky finger.

Bai hooked her own finger through mine and shook it hard. "A promise is a promise. The Heavens have eyes!" she declared in a solemn voice too.

"Come, let's go to the special room for this pill. A divine soul could have some backlash when you ascend to the next realm." I invited her, and walked to the next elevator shaft leading to the deep underground chamber meant for dangerous Ascensions.

Perhaps not surprisingly, Feng and her pet Burning Phoenix were already inside, with the little bird eating bits from the pink Dragon, and far more than her volume could scientifically imbibe. Maybe a hundred times more than the bird's tiny size. Yes, Xiao Feng looked a bit larger with the long flaming feathers, but the Phoenix actual body was like a sparrow or such.

As for why Feng named her pet bird as 'little Feng', I had no idea.

I stopped outside the separation array, and mentally groaned at the potential expensive spirit stone investment.

"You're here, good! I was worried you won't manage another Divine pill for a thousand years or so." Grandpa spoke from inside the array, while Feng waved at us in a cheerful mood.

"Pef, look! Xiao Feng is also ready to Ascend. But she will need a bigger Dragon for the next time." she spoke in a happy voice.

Yeah, because Dragons were so easy to catch...well. At least one Dragon would come looking for me, if I left a trail to follow. And a big one at that. Probably called Brother Long, if the pink murderer was thinking about him. And yes, you could translate Long as Dragon, but this strange cultivator language had too many nuances.

The little bird preened and extended her wings to appear bigger, likely because she heard her name. Unlike Meadows though, the bird wasn't a talking beast, not yet. Then again, it has just hatched, so it might take some time. If stones could cultivate and talk, a bird was much higher up the scale.

"Well, Xiao Feng better not die during Ascension. I paid 5 billion spirit stones for that egg." I muttered in a low voice.

My wives glared in a hurt mood at me, just as the little Phoenix finished eating and flew on top of Feng's head. "We're ready, Grandpa." Feng said in a confident voice and opened her mouth, where a Divine Soul pill flew into.

One second it was clear air, the next an inferno filled the safe room, straining the separation array. Even though the flames didn't pass through, I could feel a deadly intent inside the conflagration.

"I will still love you, Feng! Even if you grow feathers!" I yelled at the flames, which parted slightly to show the little Phoenix eating the fire like slurping juice through a straw. Well, at least that part of the plan worked. No need to buy expensive Earth Fire anymore.

Something dark flickered in Feng's eyes, and I was flung into the wall like hit by a train. Through the separation array, no less.

"...I still love you..." I muttered in a faint voice, then fainted.

Sometime later, I woke up with my head in Feng's lap, while the array was filled with shards of ice and floating snowflakes.

"Ah, must be Bai's turn now." I realized as my wits began to gather.

A long bird beak poked me in the forehead, signaling that Xiao Feng was not dead yet. "I still love you, Feng. Even if you grew a beak. Not sure if we can make eggs together..." I continued in a slow drawl.

"Let him rest, Xiao Feng. He got hit hard in the head." I heard Feng speak in a normal voice, so I turned my head a bit to see her pretty face. And a burning sigil on her forehead.

"That sigil hit me. Owwww. I married my pretty Feng, not an ugly sigil with a bad mood." I groaned in pain.

"...We come as a package, husband. The Mark of the Phoenix is not too fond of you, but I'm sure it will warm up to you, in time." Feng answered in a worried voice.

I was pretty sure the Dark Phoenix had other plans, like cooking me with infernal flames, instead of warming up.

So instead, I took out a Perfect Saint pill, and held it in my palm. "Give this to Grandpa Xialong. He's been asking me for this for 50 years now."

Feng stored the pill in her ring, then leaned down and kissed me sweetly. "At least Grandpa will approve of you now. He always wanted me to find a worthy husband." she added in a loving voice.

I just sighed and closed my eyes. Being considered a worthy husband was so hard in this world.
