Tale 9: “Two Truth’s, One Lie.” – Part 6.

“Mister Cyden, many thanks for your update. I’ll be along shortly.” Ruby commanded and then rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. “Ner-Ner its dark outside, I see the moon.” When her dymate refused to move, Ruby tossed an empty rum bottle and bounced it off Nerice’s shoulder. “Gotcha!”

“Ow!” Nerice threw the bottle the best she could and heard it smash ineffectively on a wooden wall. “What makes you think that I wasn’t awake, Tanya.” She rubbed her shoulder, “I don’t have eyes, darling.” Nerice made a couple of smooching sounds, and ran her hands through her blue hair. “Bridgetown, huh?” Nerice rolled to the side of the bed and used her cane to double-check where she was before clicking her tongue and getting the image in her head of their quarters. “You pn to get very drunk, if that is possible.”

“That and leave you here.” Ruby snickered and climbed on the bed, her knees folded under her. “You have that look on your face like you want some alone time.” She ughed, “Which is typically dangerous for underwater denizens.” Ruby cupped Nerice’s cheeks. “You didn’t give any real objection to my choice of port…” Ruby purred and licked Nerice’s chin until they swirled their tongues together for a long heated kiss. “...Which means you are plotting something dark.”

Still helpless to Ruby’s luscious lips, Nerice nodded and reached for her lover’s face. “There you are.” Nerice whispered softly. “I do enjoy touching you, Tanya.” Nerice sighed, “As, my love you know me well. I haven’t been in our true form in over a month and it is driving me crazy. I was going to take some time and explore the area a bit more than I already have.” She ughed, “Maybe eat a few frogs.”

  “Witch.” Ruby teased.

“Devil Woman.” Nerice stuck out her tongue and quickly kissed Ruby, “Just keep in mind you picked this witch.” Nerice stripped off all of her clothing and stood up and exposed all of her scales as she started to transform. “How long am I going to be without your lovely red tail?”

Offering her arm to Nerice so her blue mermaid could exit without being seen, Ruby opened the window to its fullest and pced Nerice’s hands on it. “Ner-Ner, I just want to cut loose and forget about command if possible. I guess a few days at most, then I will join you for some tail tangling.”

“Tease.” Nerice offered and Held Ruby close, kissing her lightly. “You are going to bed the first cute thing you see.”

“Is that a challenge?” Ruby giggled and suckled Nerice’s bottom lip. “Never know, I might just give up women completely. Lay here with my Ner-Ner.”

With a light punch to Ruby’s blind side, Nerice ughed. “Tanya, why do you even try? I can read your lovely mind. Your heart is set on some brunette tonight, no matter what she looks like.” Nerice giggled and tugged on her own blue hair. “Which isn’t me.” Nerice kissed Ruby again, “Get on your prettiest dress and dance until your feet hurt.” With her st statement, Nerice felt the edges of the window once more and leapt out, transformed into her mermaid form and hit the water without much of a sound or ripple before disappearing from view.

Sighing to herself, Ruby went over and closed the window before donning her typical captain’s dress and heading for the helm. “Ahoy, Medusa.” Ruby confidently addressed her First Mate, “I have it from here.” Ruby winked and patted the big woman on the back. “Like always have the boats take the men ashore in groups and keep a full unit on the ship.” Ruby ughed, “Can’t have Pearly thinking that the ship is hers.”

“Aye, Aye.” Patricia ughed and headed to the main deck, barking orders.

Exactly as promised by Patricia, Ruby spotted the dim lights of Bridgetown that spread across the edge of the tiny isnd of Barbados. Ruby had her riggers drop the sails far enough offshore that when the tide went out, she could get The Dancing Dagger out of the small harbor without any hesitation should an emergency arrive.

Roughly an hour ter, Ruby had quickly addressed the crew saying that unless forced out, they’d be staying in Bridgetown for about two weeks to sell off their stolen goods, rex and resupply. Once all of the leaders of the crew had checked in with Medusa and subsequently with Ruby, the command was given and all of the people left the ship as quickly as possible, singing joyfully a few sea shanties as they reached the docks.

While she could have easily taken a boat into the city itself, Ruby had the same idea as Nerice and found and after crawling out of her own window, her dresses in a bag that was not the least bit waterproof the daft pirate captain dove into the water and a few seconds ter had let her mermaid form free from its human bonds. Bright red scales fshed in the moonlight as Ruby pyed with a few harbor seals while making her way to a silent part of the isnd. Once she’d reached shore, Ruby found a small cluster of rocks and climbed up to enjoy the cool salty sea air. Waving off her aquatic friends, Ruby opened her small bag and after swapping back into her now nude human form, found pces to hang her clothing to dry and decide exactly what her game pn was.

Before she knew it, Ruby heard voices coming from her right and sat up from her sandy bed. Although it was early evening when she’d id down to contempte her fun, now that she’d slept again, the moon had moved a significant distance and she realized it was close to midnight.

-Wonderful. A few more hours of sleeping…however..well worth it.-

A second after she’d had her thought, a couple of fishermen emerged from the small grove of palm trees and spotted Ruby’s nude form on the beach. “Miss?” One of the older men questioned as he slowly approached Ruby, “Miss, are you alright?”

Pyfully ughing the second guy stood beside his friend, “She’s a mermaid Jacob, be careful. They charm men and drag us into the heavenly depths.”

Initially concerned that she hadn’t changed into her human form, Ruby quickly looked over her body and didn’t see anything out of pce, other than she was completely bare-assed. “Mermaid?” Ruby offered and shook her head to push off the sleep. “Why…” Ruby heard the shells holding her cornrows in pce and ughed. “Aye, now me sees the truth o’it all.” Without any hesitation, Ruby stood up and walked to the edge of the water and gingerly washed the sand from her hourgss form. “Rest assured, Gentlemen that I am not a mermaid.”
