In The City

  Richard and his friend Robert reached the city after many days. They both were hungry. They were going from place to place asking people about their jobs. But everyone was telling them that there are no jobs available. Finally, they reached a street corner where they saw a sign board.

  It said: "Famous Restaurant". They walked towards it. When they reached there, they saw a crowd of people waiting outside. The restaurant was full of customers. They were all waiting for food."This is a famous restaurant," said Robert."I don't believe it. Why this restaurant has so many customers?" asked Richard.Robert answered, "Because it serves good food.""Oh!" said Richard.

  They entered inside the restaurant. It was very crowded inside. Everyone was standing on the tables and chairs. Some were eating, some were drinking. All of them were looking at the waiters.

  "Can we get some seats here?" asked Richard.

  A waiter replied, "Yes sir. We are having some vacant seats. Please follow me."

  When they reached the table, Richard sat down. He ordered a drink. And then, he ordered food.

  After few minutes, another waiter came to take order. He was carrying tray with drinks and plates of food. He placed it on the table and left.

  Suddenly, a voice came from the speaker, "Welcome to the restaurant. Our service is very fast. If you need any assistance, please ask our staffs. I am the manager of the restaurant.

  I hope you will enjoy your meal."

  Richard was very impressed by the manager's speech. He liked the way the man spoke.

  After sometime, another waiter came to take order. He placed the tray on the table and left.

  Richard ordered a drink and food. Then, he ordered more food. After few minutes, another waiter came to take order. He placed the tray on the table and left.

  She was walking towards the bus stop. Richard called out to her, "Hey, miss! Where are you going?

  "You are looking beautiful."

  She smiled and replied, "Thank you."

  The girl said, "My husband is away. My name is Mrs. Rose. Come inside."

  Richard was very happy to meet a kind lady like Mrs.Rose. He wanted to meet her husband. He wanted to ask her about a job.

  Mrs. Rose gave him tea. They both were sitting together.

  Richard said, "I am alone. I have no family. I want to live with someone. I want to find a job."

  Mrs. Rose said, "I understand your problem. I have a little job for you. I want you to work for me as a servent. I want you to look after my home. You can stay with me for free. I will pay you a salary.

  "I want you to cook for me and wash the dishes. I will give you clothes to wear. I will teach you how to read and write. Richard said " i like boxing. "

  He wants to learn martial arts.

  So, I will train you in boxing. You will become a champion boxer.

  Richard was very excited. He thought that he will become a champion boxer.

  He said, "Yes, I will do anything for you."

  Mrs. Rose said, "Good. Now, let us start your training. First, we will learn to box. You will learn to punch and kick."

  Richard was very eager to learn boxing.

  He asked Mrs. Rose, "What should I use to hit?"

  Mrs. Rose replied, "Use anything. Use a wooden stick. Use a metal pipe.

  I know little much boxing. You are the best student I have ever seen. I am sure that you will be a great fighter."

  Richard practiced boxing every day. He learned to hit with different objects. He also learned to block the attacks of others.

  Rose said I will take you to my boxing sir. He will teach you everything. He will make you a champion boxer.

  One day, Mr.Rose was absent. When he returned, he found Richard practicing boxing. He was very happy to see his talent.

  Mr.Rose asked Richard, "Why are you learning boxing?"

  Richard replied, "I want to be a boxer. I want to become a champion boxer."

  Mr.Rose said, "ok."

  Then he told Richard, "Now, you will learn to fight. You will learn to fight with a real opponent. You will fight against the person who teaches you boxing. He is my brother."

  Richard was very excited. He wanted to fight with his own teacher.

  He asked, "How much time will it take?"

  Mr.Rose said, "Two months. You will have to practice everyday."

  Richard was very excited. He was ready to start.

  When the day of the match arrived, Richard was very nervous. He was sweating. He was afraid of losing.

  He asked Mr.Rose, "Are you sure that I will win?"
