Chapter 61 – Something Else Entirely

  Prince of Hell

  The bat cracked.

Split clean in half against Sael’s skull.

  Blood ran.

  Red eyes turned.

  But what looked back—

  Wasn’t anger.

  Wasn’t bloodlust.

  Wasn’t even human.

  It was a smile.

  Wide. Cold. Unreadable.

The kind that says: You were never in control. I just wasn’t bored yet.

  The strong one flinched.

The same man who’d stood unshaken through riots, prison breakouts, and a massacre—

  Now looked like a kid.

Like something just crawled out from under his bed, and smiled.

  Sael moved.

  A blur. A twist.

One hand slammed him to the ground.

The other tore open his jaw—with his own mouth.

  Then—

  Steel.

  Over and over.

Blade punching through flesh, bone, skull.

Even after the light left his eyes, Sael didn’t stop.

  Blood sprayed.

  Painted his face red.

  He stood.

  Dripping.

  Everyone stepped back.

  Even the monsters.

  They thought it was over.

  That was four.

  Round complete.

  But Sael didn’t stop walking.

He walked toward someone else. Not his group.

“Hey,” he smiled. “Good job. You already won, right?”

  He got close.

  Too close.

  Then—

  The broken blade flashed.

  A clean beheading.

And then the real hunt began.

  One.

  Two.

  Three.

  Four—

  Each kill slower. Meaner.

  He wasn’t fighting.

  He was hunting.

  Until the blade shattered.

  Splintered beyond use.

  He dropped it.

  Grabbed a spiked wooden mace.

  Ran.

  Eyes wild. Grinning.

  —

Far off, Grim lay in the dirt.

  Paralyzed.

  But alive.

  Every second—less pain.

  Every breath—more strength.

  It didn’t make sense.

  Not healing. Not this fast.

  This wasn’t recovery.

  This was something else entirely.

  —

  The screams reached him.

  Cracking bones. Choking sobs.

  Then he saw it—

A man. Thirty meters out. Running.

  Escaping.

  He turned—

  Glanced behind—

  And his face twisted.

  Terror.

  Reflected in his eyes—

  Sael.

  Full sprint.

  Mace raised overhead.

  Then—

  CRACK.

  The mace met skull.

  And then—

  BOOM.

  An explosion.

  People thrown like toys.

  Limbs flying.

  Blood in the air.

  One body slammed into Grim.

  Snapped his vision to black.

  End of Chapter.
