“I’m an Imp… rank F. The absolute bottom.” I sighed.

But at least there's evolution. If I reach level 10, I can become a Lesser Demon. That’s something. And I get stat points after leveling up. So I can boost whatever I want—strength, agility, intelligence. Nice.

  Then there are my titles...

  Equip title: Reincarnated Soul.

Reincarnated Soul equipped. User now gains ×2 EXP from defeating enemies.

“Perfect. Fast leveling, here I come.”

The other title—Celestia’s Gamble—still has unknown effects. That’s… concerning.

Then there’s Copy, my only skill.

It lets me take the skills of enemies I defeat. That's broken… but it’s limited to two active skill slots for now. Still, it levels up too? That’s promising.

  Finally, missions.

“Defeat the Demon King... establish peace... and help Celestia regain her power?” I groaned. “This is going to be a long, bumpy ride, huh?”

  “Hey, kid!”

  “Eh?” I looked up.

“Your mom’s waiting for you. Get over here.”

“Oh, you’re back. Right… my mom.”

What would she even look like in a demon world?

  “So where is she?”

“Down the hall. You’ll find her at the end. I gotta get back to work.”

  “Thanks for the help.”

  “Don’t mention it.”

  I started walking.

“This hallway is so long… how big is this place?”

  Finally, a door.

  “Alright, I’ve made it.”

“…Wait, is it push or pull? Ugh, I’m overthinking.”

  I pushed.

“Oh! Logan, you’re here. I was getting worried—you were taking forever!”

My eyes widened. “Mmh? Oh—yeah. Logan. That’s my name.”

She smiled warmly. “And I’m your mom, of course.”

  She looked… normal. Human, even.

  “You look… normal,” I muttered.

She raised an eyebrow. “Why wouldn’t I?”

  “No reason…”

She frowned slightly. “Your boss said you hit your head. You really don’t remember anything?”

“My head does hurt. And yeah… everything’s kinda foggy.”

Her expression softened. “Then I’ll make you your favorite meal. That might help jog your memory.”

  My stomach rumbled.

  “Real… isekai… food?” I grinned. “Now that’s what I’m talking about.”
