Chapter 14: Ethan

  Darkness covered everything.

  I was In the middle of a cave that was pitch black

  Sighing the thing thought.

  'It's disappointing, I was hoping you would be stronger but your just a weakling.'

  'Well, fortunately I don't need you to be strong, not yet anyway.'

  Slowly, inside the Cave something In the air began to form.

  Flesh appeared from thin air and slowly it grew and stretch.

  It began to take form of a human.

  Once it was complete, it flopped to the floor lifelessly.

  'Alright, I wonder if this will still work.'

  I grabbed the soul of the human I devoured. From looking through his memories I learned many things that I thought were impossible.

  Technology beyond what this world is capable of.

  It's amazing what these new human can do. Yet surprising just how weak they are.

  I woke up to darkness, I felt the cold rocky floor beneath my feet as I tried to look around.

  All I remember is waking up In the middle of the forest and that's it. I can't remember anything else. How did I get here.

  "HUMAN!" a deep and bellowing voice called out.

  My entire body froze, my blood instantly grew cold.

  I couldn't speak even if I wanted to. The pressure was immense.

  "Ethan, I have a mission for you." Said the thing.

  The pressure on me slowly disappeared.

  In a shaking voice I respond "W-who are you?!"

  "I am your master. From now on you will worship me and follow me, I am your God and you will obey me" the thing said arrogantly

  I tried to deny what he was saying but my throat closed up.

  My muscles around my neck just kept tightening to the point I couldn't breath.

  "You don't have a choice. Your body is mine to control, so either obey or die"

  Slowly my vision grew dark.

  It took everything I had to respond.

  I said choking "O-ok!!"

  The muscles around my neck instantly losened and I could finally breath.

  My vision return to normal while I breathed heavily.

  "Who are you?!" I said frightened

  "......" the thing didn't respond

  I sat on the floor in slience, anxiously waiting for a response.

  After a while, I tried to get up, until the cave instantly light up.

  Once I saw what was around me, my stomach dropped.

  All around me were deformed creatures. Mixture of different animals as if someone was playing around with them to what would happen if you mix different animals together. There I saw a dog fused with what looked like some kind of bird. Well I think that's what they were because it was hard to tell because it had no skin, all you saw was its flesh.

  There were creatures I've only seen in games before. I saw a goblin amalgamated with a Elf.

  Then there was the creatures that look like they came out of a horror games. Terrifying creatures that could never exist.

  The only way these terrifying monsters could exist is if something created it.

  They looked like they were falling apart, only thing that held together was what seem to be stitches that kept them from falling apart.

  It was as if they were never meant to exist in the first place, their decaying nature proving their anomalous 'life'.

  One of the creatures look somewhat human, I say somewhat because it had stitches all over its body that seemed to be on the brink of breaking. The stitches dug into its flesh yet no blood spilled out.

  It's skin was Grey, it had three eyes each one a different color. Right eye blue, left eye red, top eye all black.

  The creature slowly open it mouth and inside I saw a fire burning inside its mouth, the flame was blue.

  Closing its mouth it moved toward me.

  I was about to run away when my body froze. The pressure stop me In my tracks.

  "So what do you think?" Asked my new master

  It's voice was enough to make me nausea, just hearing it made my entire body stiffen.

  "I think it looks...g-great" I said hesitantly.

  I didn't want to anger it, I don't know what's going on but what ever this thing that's proclaiming to God is strong, not just strong but has control of over me somehow.

  "Of course it's great, I made it. Everything you see here is my creation." Said my master prideful

  Looking at the creatures again I could only see this 'God' as the devil himself.

  'How could someone create monsters like this? They look to be decaying, as if someone was trying to mimic God and create a new form of life.'

  It was obvious that he failed. Seeing how everything seemed to be in a perpetual state of pain and decay.

  "About your mission" Said my master.

  Slowly in the air infront of me a picture of someone I saw recently appeared.

  "I want you to go to the city of Deadlock and find him. When you do, kill him. You don't have to be cautious just make sure he's dead."

  I looked at the picture.

  'It's that kid from before!'

  I remember him from earlier in the forest, being punch then passing out.

  Before I could say anything, my master interjected.

  "If you refuse to follow me orders.... I don't think I need to remind you, Do I?" He said in a dark voice.

  I remember my muscles contracting against my will and choking me.

  My pupils dilated.

  My breathing grew slightly harsher.

  Sweat trickled down the side of my face before I resolved myself.

  'I dont have a say in what I want to do. It will just threaten me If it wants something'

  Slowly my eyes grew cold

  "....OK, I'll do as you say."

  'I'm sorry, I don't have a choice. Its either you or me.'

  I Bite my lip and clenched my fist.

  'I will kill you, Colt.'
