Chapter 3: New world

  I woke up, feeling the light hit me through the trees. I sat up slowly looking around.

  'It seems Ethans body's gone, and so is all my blood and body parts that was scattered'

  I looked at my body, examining every inch of it, looking for any kind of scar. But there was nothing.

  I took a look around myself for a bit

  I could see birds of many different colors flying around. Squirrels with 3 tails run about. I could see the trees sway as the wind blew.

  'So earth was destroyed' I thought severely ' How, just how is that possible. A planet just up and gone like it's nothing.'

  No matter how much I tried, I couldn't wrap my head around it, just how was destroying a planet be possible.

  'Wait, why should I care about if earth was destroyed, life for me back then was............besides my home, I have no other reason I would want to go back'

  Thinking about my life back on earth and my 'Old friends', I came to the conclusion that I didn't really lose much by earth getting destroyed.

  "Hahah" I laughed at myself

  Thinking about it, it was ridiculous. Any normal person would have had a much bigger break down on hearing about how earth was destroyed, they would be worried about other people they cared about.

  'Hehe lucky me, I don't have anyone like that' I thought self deprecating'

  My home is the only thing I would miss. I have some very important memories there, and being there is the most comfortable place I've been at.

  Just remembering the times I spent playing with my toys as a kid, without a care in the world. How life was simple, how I didn't have problems or worries.

  I tried to think about something else.

  I sat there for a while, just painfully reminiscing what happend to me. Just thinking about it drove me crazy, so I didn't think about it, I push it back into the deep part of my mind where I'll never remember it again.

  I shake my head and clench my fists. 'I'm good at doing that anyway' I thought melancholy.

  I tried to get up, but I barely push myself up to my feet.

  When I finally was able to stand up. I looked around to see If anyone's nearby.

  My enire body felt frail. I had trouble trying to even walk. Turning my neck felt like I was moving a rock

  'I should find someone, it will make surving this new world easier, and I'd rather not be alone. Damn it.'

  Just thinking about how I would be with other people was both calming and nerve wrecking. On one hand, I don't know much about how to make small talk or even talk to others, but on the other hand being alone on a new planet with magic seems scary.

  "Oh, almost forgot" i said worriedly

  I bent down, legs shaking as I grabbed the necklace.

  I wanted to sit down but decided against it. I should be on my feet incase I need to react fast, especially since I am having trouble moving.

  'So there's magic huh, it's kinda like an isekai anime. I wonder if there's a status window.'

  Testing out my theory I said "Status window"

  As I was reading my Status window, my eyes were beaming with excitement. Grining Like an idiot, I was hoping to have some kind of cheat skill that could make it easy to kill monsters. I was exited to experience the isekai dream many people have had.

  All my excitement vanished as I read my stats. My mouth curling to a frown.

  'Shit, how can I survive like this, damn it why am I weakened'

  Hint: find some kind of weapon, you'll be able to increase you attack, even if it's a stick. It won't be much, but beggars can't be choosers. If you can't find anything as a weapon, just throw hands and pray to God you land a critical blow! As for defense, your on your own, I doubt you'll find anything else to wear besides what your wearing.

  I eyes squinted in frustration, clenching my teeth I internally vented to myself

  'Fuck, how the hell am I going to survive if my stats are in the negative! Damn it, Phoenix you said you'll heal me. WHAT PART OF IF THIS LOOKS LIKE I'M HEALED!!!'

  Taking a deep breath, I tried composed myself.

  There was something else that bothered me, so all attempts at calming down were futile.

  'What the hell, why is it insulting me. I didn't do anything. It's not like I wanted to eat it. Why do you have to talk down to me like I'm some halfwit moron! Lucky Shot could be useful, you don't you when it could help me. It's a perfectly good skill!'

  After I was done talking with myself, I looked at the Curse.

  'Mark of an Eldritch God, shit it really does plan on hunting me down.'

  Shivers ran down my spine, My skin feeling prickled as I thought about how demonic that thing was.

  'Why does a God have to be so damn petty to hunt down one human. I'm harmless, how could I hurt a God.'

  I thought about how I could possibly protect myself from it, despite it sounding impossible.

  'Even if it is impossible, it doesn't stop my brain from uselessly trying to find a solution'

  I racked my brain until I found the solution. it was so obvious that I feel stupid for not figuring out sooner.

  'If I find the fallen angel before the Phoenix dies, it can absorb the Fallen angel and protect me from the Eldritch God, it could even Kill it!'

  'Wait' my mind ground to a halt ' if the Phoenix couldn't make a vessel to enter the real world, how will it be able to absorb the Fallen angel?.'

  I didn't notice before because of how I was fighting for my life, before being saved and told the angels 'little Story'.

  'Can I really trust him' I thought severely. The Phoenix did save me, but then why was there an inconsistencie in his story?

  'Is he lying to me? Or did he not want to tell me? But then why help me.'

  If what the Phoenix said is true, there should be others, why help me when there are other replacements. Is he really just a good person.

  'Haha, I judging whether or not the familiar of an Angel is good or bad, it should be obvious that it's good'

  Regardless, the thought bug me like a splinter.

  'Maybe he'll talk to me again, or thought that explaining it to me was a waste of time' he did say that he was short on time ' maybe he just didn't think it was important, besides its him that will be doing the work of curing this corruption'

  Even though I tried to rationalize why he didn't explain how he would go about absorbing the fallen angel, the feeling of something missing still lingered

  'I'll just ask him when I see him again, maybe he'll appear in my dreams, considering he forgot to tell me WHERE the world tree is and which direction I should go.'

  The strange feeling I had subsided, believing he would appear before me again.

  'He'll have to if he wants me to find the fallen angel.'

  With is in mind I continue to walk forward. I didn't have a plan in mind, but staying still wasn't going to help.

  As I was walking I brought up my status window again and clicked on the Self-immolation skill.

  'So that's why my stats are low. That's concerning, I won't be able to heal myself at all until I find someone with that Healer class or mage' I scrunch my eyebrows, breathing in then sighing 'but why does it keep talking shit! Fuck you. You should be encouraging me, not telling me that I'm probably going to die before I even find a Healer'

  I closed my Status window, I don't need something to tell me I'm in deep shit and will most likely die. I already know.

  Looking around, I noticed that I haven't seen anything but trees and the occasional flower here and there.

  'I'm probably in the middle of the forest. I should find some food first before thinking of leaving this forest'

  I look up at the trees, wondering if there was possibly some kind of fruit I could eat.

  Nothing. I couldn't see anything beside the tree branches swaying with the wind.

  'Well that sucks, I probably can't hunt either because of how sluggish my body feels'

  I talked to myself as I walked 'if I can't find anything to eat, I might have to eat tree bark. I don't remember where but I think I remember hearing that you can eat tree bark' just thinking about eating that made me gag ' well I guess I could eat insects. I heard crickets are high in protein.'

  Just thinking about my options of what I can eat made my stomach queasy. Nothing sounds like a suitable meal for a human.

  As I was lost in thought, I slowy heard the sound of rushing water.

  I headed to the direction to where I think I heard it. Thankfully, I was right.

  I pushed pass some large bushes and saw a large glowing waterfall . The water seem to glow as the light reflected off the falling water. Below where the water fell, a pond was booming with mosquitos, dragon flys, and lily pads.

  I saw a dragon fly land on a lily pad. The lily pad snaped in half, crushing the dragon fly, before sinking down to the bottom of the pond

  'OK then, that's good to know, that was NOT a Fucking lily pad'

  "Hahah" I found this world somewhat funny. It's nothing like earth, ignoring the bad things that have happened, this world is beautiful.

  I look up to the sky, finally being able to see pass the trees and actually see the blue sky.

  I have always heard that 'obliviousness is bliss' and I agree.

  I wished I hadn't looked up, the trees were in a way protecting me.

  In the sky I saw an eye ball for a sun, I say a glowing white eye, with and insane amount of freakishly bright red veins. It's iris was dark purple. it's pupils were large black slits.

  it seem to be looking down upon me, see right through me.

  Looking at it it felt like something was being pulled right out of me.

  That's because there was.

  Warning: looking at the 'Sun' for long periods of time will slowly siphon your Mana. if your unable to proficiently control your Mana and contain your own Mana, You'll pass out and will most likely die to some monsters. There's likely other affects that might happen, but unfortunately I have no knowledge of what else this 'Sun' can do.

  I looked away from the eye. Staring at the ground

  Fortunately, I wasn't really shaken up. I was only sighty shocked to see an Eye staring at me.

  'Great, this is starting to be nothing like a normal isekai world I've seen in anime or manga.' I thought bitterly 'well as long as I don't look at the sun I'll be fine, should be easy'

  I walked over to the pond that formed under the water fall.

  Crouching down with shaky legs I sat down right next to the edge of the crystal clear pond.

  In the water I saw fish with light blue scales, some fish were emerald green. There were fish of many different color.

  Of course because the water was clear I could see the reflection of everything. I could even see the Eye, but unlike before I didn't feel my Mana being sucked away.

  'Staying here is probably the best choice for now' the sky was slowly fading into a dark blue and the Eye was slowly setting.

  I was feeling thrisy so I drank some of the water of the pond.

  Message: Are you really just gonna drink like that without boiling it first? You can probably find something to use as a bucket and then use your self immolation. You can probably purify the water of its bacteria

  I stoped drinking from the pond and stared at the message that popped up as I was flabbergasted at what I just read.

  'That's so fucking stupid, why the hell would I do that. Do you want me die!!! By the time the water boils my body will be nothing but bones, You idiot!!'

  I continued to drink from the pond for a little bit. Thinking about how whatever this thing that's sending me messages, is missing a few chromosomes.

  Message: I meant you can use your skill to light a branch on fire and create a small camp fire. I'm not fucking stupid, try using you damn brain. You don't have the luxury to really be picky with your methods, even if you have to burn your hand a bit, it's better than dying because you can't stop doing diarrhea.

  'Wait it's actually right.' I grimaced at the fact that I was risking my life recklessly, and that I needed something to tell me I was fucking up.

  'Still for this thing to be first insulting me and then giving me genuine advice'. I clicked my tongue

  it felt like my pride had been wounded

  After drinking my fill I climb a tree that was close to the water fall.

  It took me a while but I was able to climb the tree in the end.

  The tree had a large branch slightly tilted upward.

  I layed down on that branch and fell asleep.
