::CLANG:: "Alright. Sounds like they got the last electromagnet in place. Should be good to start fueling once they get the hull put on and the ports installed." - Aurora (Pilot)
"And what do you think about the gravity ring?" - Cypress (Head Engineer)
"Seems odd to have to have it for plants to grow right, but I'm no biologist. Zero gravity feels fine to me though, so I guess I'll only use it for physical" - Aurora
"And the sleeping quarters? What about how half of them are on that ring?" - Cypress
"I'll either sleep in the bridge or in one of the zero gravity compartments. Seriously, I can't understand why so many people hate this feeling of weightlessness. I can just push myself around as easily as I want!" - Aurora
"You're not entirely alone in that, but there is no universe in which I can agree with you." - Cypress
"Hah! I guess you both can agree to disagree!" - Void (Pilot) - "But as for me, I personally wish that we could have the ring go even faster. I've tried, and 2 {Note: G-force counterpart, equivalent to 3 G}'s feels absolutely perfect."
"You're both insane." - Cypress - "I still think that it's a shame that we don't get to grow anything beyond the essentials in the greenhouse."
"I would like to toast to that, but we're gonna have to go without for a while, because we can't be anywhere near impaired when we leave tomorrow. {Note: Tomorrow used in place of time, due to sleep and day/night cycle misalignment}" - Aurora
"Agreed, but at least I get to sleep for the next 40 years. At least we'll be about the same age when we get there." - Void
"Weird to think that both crews have been training together, and that we won't see each other for the better part of a lifetime." - Cypress
"Attention all crews. Departure timeline has been forcibly advanced by 20 hours {Hours used in place of equivalent}. Crew A, please report to your relevant ships. Crew B, please report to the cryogenics ship." - Intercom
"What the heck?" - Cypress - [Records indicate a return intercom message here] - "So something came up and the dockyard for one of the generation fleets just became non-functional. They're trying to get everyone else out faster to open up space for fleet 5."
"Well, that's a big issue. Sounds like an all hands on deck situation, so I'd better get going." - Aurora
"Yeah, me too." - Void - "I wonder how long it takes for cryo to start working. I guess I'll find out first. See you either very soon, or in a very long while!"

End of maneuver logs. Crew observations recorded below:
::record segment 1::
"Hey {Void}, what's up with those lights on the back of the third planet?" - Elm (Navigator)
"Huh? Hang on, let me take a look." - Void
::footsteps:: ::silence::
"OH {Expletive}!" - Void - "What are we going to do about this? We didn't bring weapons, we didn't bring any diplomats, and our 5 administrative crew are still in cryo!"
"I don't know!" - Elm - "That's why I'm asking you!"
"We have to get the administrative crew out. Either we proceed with terraforming the second planet, or we do something else." - Void - "And I don't even know what else we could do!"
"Should I go get the cryo team to wake up the colony administrators?" - Elm
"YES! GO!" - Void
::FOOTSTEPS::
[Silence persists on the bridge for 3:40]
"Hello?" - Ash (Administrator) - "I've been told that you needed me on the... oh."
"Yes! You see the issue?" - Void
"Easily. That's... unfortunate." - Ash - "I am glad that we didn't start until now, but this will cause some issues. Have you extended the solar panels yet?"
"That was the first thing we did. I'm just glad that you were able to help. An entire row failed, and everyone inside died. It was pretty awful." - Void - "I won't describe it here, but you can read the reports."
"Well, the solar panels being extended gives us at least a while longer. Our fuel is quite limited, so if we didn't have those out by now we might not have been able to make it." - Ash
"Yeah, that would have been the case, but we're 5% above projected fuel expenditure." - Void
"Seems like we'll need to hurry, but since the star here is fairly close, we should be fine for a good long while." - Ash - “I need to borrow the bridge for a minute. Would you mind stepping out?”
“Ye- Yeah!” - Void - “Go ahead, I’ll just head to my quarters. There isn’t anything for me to do really at this point, unless we need to make an orbit correction.”

[Records indicate at least two button presses, and likely several interactions with a screen]
“Attention all crew. This is the temporary administrator of this ship, [Ash]. We have a minor diplomatic crisis, and we need 500 diplomatic pods ready by the end of the next year. This should be fairly easy, but the mechanics team needs to get to repurposing half of our terraforming pods into atmospheric entry pods capable of supporting an egg on the way down. Additionally, we need 500 eggs to fill the pods, incubated until they’re about 3 or so weeks from hatching. I know that some of you are going to be leaping at that opportunity, so to prevent extras there is a new form uploaded to our local servers, with room for 500 applicants. If you’re interested, please go fill it out now. Furthermore, we are entering into a resource low period. We will have to exceed our initial mission parameters by at least 16 years, because we are as of right now still unsure about what the species on the third planet is capable of, and we cannot risk this mission. Any crews besides mechanical, please look on your designated local server for assignments.”
::a slow buildup of footsteps and other noises occurs::

::record segment 2::
“Okay, official administrator’s logs. These are available to all crew, as a reminder of both our current goals and our reasons.
First, our FTL data reporter system just ceased responding. This indicates that, if the fleets have not left by now, they will never get a chance.
Second, we need the mechanical crew to repurpose another 50 of our drones into mining apparatuses. Fuel is running fairly high thanks to careful usage, but we need to get some more facilities running. Our built in production center isn’t capable of much, so our next priority is an automated station in the asteroid belt.
Third, the atmospheric entry pods are ready, and will be launched one at a time starting today! You can watch, but there isn’t much to see. They’re going to be relaying their data every time they come into view via a tight band laser, so that any communications can’t be picked up or really intercepted.
Fourth, if anyone has an idea on how to improve our initial communication system, please let me know.
Finally, the form only gave authorization to 500 crew. We cannot afford any more than that.”
