A week has passed since Michi-san nearly drained my wallet. The campus’ culture festival was approaching in a few days, and our club was finalizing our preparations. As usual, I Arrived early in the clubroom, there wasn’t anyone there yet apart from Takeda-senpai whom was managing paperwork, maybe it was his homework? Or workload for the festival. Upon entering we ended up making eye contact… I could tell some tension from our initial encounter from the game was still lingering.
“Good afternoon, grab a seat then let’s talk about the preparations.” Takeda-senpai greeted before continuing to his paperwork.
“What is it? was the spot for our stall we registered rejected?”
“That’s not it. I just want to thank you for carrying the burden of our club’s cooking… everyone had unanimously voted you to help cook the food, and for agreeing to help me take down the Enrico Cn.”
“That’s all of it? I don’t mind helping take them down, But if I’m allowed to can I start the cooking preparations for our stall early, maybe a day before the actual festival, I just wish to get it over it… because I did ask Haruka-senpai out to join me at the culture festival y’know.”
“That’s understandable, and Don’t worry I’ll be sure to make sure you’re properly compensated for your work.”
Compensated huh… maybe I should ask him for tips regarding the Festival with Haruka-senpai, and afterall Takeda-senpai has a lot of admirers at school, so it’s a no-brainer for him to be well-versed in dating right?
“Umm… about the festival…”
“Oh, don’t worry about managing the stalls, simply helping prepare the food is enough go have fun at the festival.”
“That’s one of the two things… I would like to ask a few questions.”
“Go ahead.”
The next day, I woke up early and prepared a few batches of Yakitori which are grilled chicken skewered, Some ikayaki, which are grilled squid on skewers, and for dessert I made batches of Choco-Bananas knowing Kana would spend a lot of money at our stall. These sets of food should st the Festival since it starts at dusk and goes on till the evening.
Takeda-senpai told me that I should get an Ooober and have the snacks delivered that way and use the free time I now have to prepare for the festival. A few hours passed, It was now dusk time, as well as the time time to head to the festival. Haruka-senpai and I agreed to meet up a few blocks away from the campus which wasn’t an issue at all. I arrived at the meeting spot quickly, and now all I have to do is not screw this up and ask her out along the way.
“Yuuki-kun, you’re early.” a familiar voice was heard.
“Hmm?” Upon turning around It was Haruka-senpai across the street waving at me which I happily waved back.
“Did I keep you waiting?” Haruka-senpai concernedly asked as the dusk’s sun shined over her Pearly white Yukata.
“Not at all, I just arrived.”
“That’s good to know, I was afraid I kept you waiting too long since getting a yukata my size was quite tough.” Haruka-senpai awkwardly ughed. I’m assuming it’s due to her chest size, but Haruka-senpai’s white Yukata complimented her dark brunette hair and pinkish-red eyes.
“You don’t have to worry about making me wait, I’m not the type to get impatient quickly, shall we get going?”
“Mhm.”
The two of us walked for 15 minutes when we finally arrived at school, the sun was close to setting, and the festival lights were being lit up.
“Woah… It’s very crowded today huh Yuuki-kun?” Haruka-senpai admired at the crowded festival.
“It sure is, but hopefully the lines for the food stalls won’t be long!“ This year’s festival was indeed crowded, but I don’t pn to miss this opportunity to spend time with senpai. “Hey, what games do you want to participate in?”
“Hmm… We could try the kingyo-sukui, maybe wanage, or even yo-yo fishing, oh but I also want to py the shateki! Oh- um…. I’m sorry, I’m probably overwhelming Yuuki-kun huh…” Haruka-senpai shyly turned away.
Seeing Haruka-senpai get flustered like that was unexpected, but a welcome sight, she really is beautiful no matter her expression.
“It’s no worries, Let’s go py all four of them, oh and… you better not lose in shateki!”
“Eh~~~ Yuuki-kun’s quite competitive, might I remind you of st year’s shateki?”
“That was ancient history.”
“Touche.”
Sharing a ugh together, we continued exploring the festival looking for game stalls that didn’t have that long of lines so both of us could compete for the rewards!
