"Ronwa, sweetheart, wake up… today is your special day."
Ronwa got out of bed, rubbing her eyes sleepily, then smiled as she remembered the surprise her mother had promised. In a flash, she dressed in a lovely outfit chosen especially for this day—a soft white dress adorned with tiny pink flowers. She placed her favorite book into her small bag, the book that held secrets and cherished memories between its pages.
In the kitchen, she had a light breakfast with her mother, and she seemed more excited than usual. Her grandmother was still absent, which made the atmosphere lighter and warmer. After breakfast, Ronwa and her mother left the house, with Lucas floating beside her, twirling in the air like a small dance of light and shadow.
Lucas was smiling broadly, as if he too had been waiting for this day for a long time. Ronwa whispered to him softly:
"Lucaas… why didn’t Ron come? I thought he would come with us…"
Lucas answered, putting his hands behind his head as he flew alongside her:
"Ron? Ah, don’t wait for him. He’s not that interested in authors or writers. He said it doesn’t matter to him, as long as *you* care."
Ronwa raised an eyebrow slightly and said:
"Strange… I thought he’d be at least a little curious."
Lucas laughed and said:
"Ron is strange in his own way, but don’t worry—he’s always watching you from afar, even if he doesn’t show himself."
She kept walking, looking ahead, the sun warming her silver hair as it fluttered in the breeze, and within her, a light feeling of adventure stirred…
She walked along the wet streets, the morning dew fresh in the air, and the birds chirped in a warm melody as if the whole village was celebrating this special day.Ronwa held her mother’s hand, taking small steps forward, while her small bag floated behind her, as if it were carrying a treasure, not just a book.
The library wasn’t nearby; it was located at the end of the village, on a quiet street surrounded by tall trees that leaned over each other, forming a tunnel of green shadows. Because the distance was long, mother and daughter took the local small train that passed through the village’s alleys like an old toy still in motion.

On the train, they sat by the window, and Ronwa pressed against the glass, eagerly watching the changing scenery—the trees, the fields, the wildflowers waving at her as if congratulating her. As for Lucas, he floated quietly under the seat, invisible to everyone except Ronwa.
She leaned towards him and whispered softly, making sure her mother wouldn’t hear:
"Lucas… Do you think he’ll remember the book? Will it be like I imagined?"
He replied, placing his hand over his chest and pretending to be dignified:
"Akaromi never forgets… He’s a strange man, but his heart is pure. If he still writes, it’s because he hasn’t given up on dreams yet."
Ronwa smiled and looked back at the fields, then whispered to him:
"I’m nervous… and excited… my heart is beating fast…"
Lucas laughed and said:
"Your heart is beating like you’re going to meet a prince, not an old writer!"
Ronwa laughed lightly, feeling shy, when her mother’s voice came:
"Did you say something, Ronwa?"
She quickly shook her head and said:
"No, no, just… talking to myself!"
She then returned her gaze to the window as the train confidently moved toward an amazing destination…
Ronwa and her mother got off the train, taking a moment to relax at a nearby spot by the station, where there was a small restaurant offering light meals. They sat at one of the tables in the corner, and the atmosphere was refreshing, with a gentle morning breeze carrying the scent of wildflowers. Ronwa ate quickly, her eyes sparkling with joy as if every step she took brought her closer to her big dream.
While her mother took her time eating, Ronwa happily hopped between the scattered stones on the road, enjoying the fresh air. Her steps were light, and her eyes sparkled with a wide smile as she jumped over each stone, as if searching for an adventure in every corner.
Her mother watched her, smiling, feeling joy seeing her daughter so full of life and happiness. Then, when she finished eating, she approached her and said with a smile:
"Are you ready?"
Ronwa eagerly answered:
"Yes! Let’s move past these obstacles and continue!"
They continued walking along the beautiful paths, surrounded by tall trees and climbing green plants. As for Lucas, he floated beside her, smiling as he watched her with curiosity, wondering about every step and every detail of this beautiful day.
But when they reached the library, which was located at the far corner of the village, they were all surprised to find it closed. The doors were securely shut, and the windows were completely dark.
"What?!" her mother said in shock, trying to open the door but discovering that it was firmly locked.
"But... why?" she added, confused, and the look on her face showed sudden disappointment.
"Wait here, I’ll go inquire about the reason." her mother finally said, her eyes showing concern despite her smile.
She pointed to Ronwa and said:
"Stay here, don’t go too far."
Ronwa looked at her sadly, watching her walk away and enter a nearby office to inquire. She then sat on the bench outside, the atmosphere incredibly quiet, with only the soft wind rustling the leaves and the sound of her footsteps fading as her mother moved further away.
Ronwa sat, and Lucas floated beside her, observing the peaceful scene. Her hand gripped her favorite book, feeling a sense of confusion.
She whispered to him:
"Do you think something’s wrong? Why is the library closed?"
Lucas responded calmly:
"Sometimes, unexpected things happen… but there’s no need to worry. Maybe there’s a simple reason."
But he couldn’t hide the confusion in his eyes, for the atmosphere carried something strange, and there was a feeling that there was more to the situation than met the eye.
