XXXIV – Humanity’s Plan Z

In the vast central pza of the UN facilities, an enormous green magic circle was taking shape. The elves stood within it, preparing to perform the final stage of a complex magical spell.

Ye Lan, captivated by the grand and majestic scene, couldn’t resist asking Rin, who stood beside her, a bold question.

"This... this spell seems very advanced. Doesn’t it consume an enormous amount of magic?" Ye Lan inquired.

Nearby, the humans discreetly listened, eager to gather information about this type of magic. In humanity's current state of development, no one had yet managed to master any form of teleportation magic.

Rin blinked a few times, considered the question, and then smiled, waving her hand dismissively.

"This spell is slightly more advanced than [Light Arrows], but within elven magic, it’s only cssified as intermediate-level.

The [Advanced Teleportation Circle] requires between one and five elves to activate it using a magic chant. The more participants there are, the faster the spell can be completed. Once activated, it can teleport over a hundred people simultaneously, regardless of their level.

As for magic consumption, it’s quite manageable. Given the small number of us here, we’ve simplified the design. If a single person were to cast it, they’d only need about 1,000 magic points to activate it" Rin expined.

She concluded by mentioning that, while they possessed far more powerful teleportation spells, the one they were using was more than adequate for their current needs.

  1,000 magic points...

Upon hearing this, Ye Lan buried her face in her hands, overwhelmed with regret for having asked. At her current level, where each level granted only a single point of magic, it was clear that no one in the entire beastkin race could even dream of casting such a spell.

Inside the magic circle, the five elves exhaled deeply. The spell had been successfully completed, and shimmering emerald leaves began to materialize from the glowing green circle. After ten seconds, the teleportation process commenced.

"I’m leaving, Miss Priestess. Until we meet again" Rin said before stepping briskly into the magic circle.

With a swift fsh, all the elves within the circle vanished in a beam of light that shot into the sky.

As the elves finally departed, the gathered leaders collectively breathed a sigh of relief. Their absence meant Pn Z was safer for now. As for the beastkin girl... with her naive and somewhat unassuming demeanor, she didn’t appear to pose any immediate threat.

The President of the United States shot a stern look at a nearby staff member, who, visibly nervous, approached Ye Lan with cautious steps.

  "Miss Priestess..."

  "Yes?"

"I... I’ll escort you to the pce where you’ll be staying from now on" he stammered.

Though the man stood tall at 1.8 meters, he didn’t dare show the slightest hint of arrogance toward the young girl, who barely reached 1.5 meters.

Having witnessed the power of the elves, none of the humans dared to provoke an even more formidable race like the beastkin, even if the girl standing before them appeared to be only level 10.

"Alright" Ye Lan replied nonchantly. She wasn’t particurly concerned about where she stayed. After all, she was accustomed to enduring harsh conditions. She had lived in half-constructed houses and even spent her high school years in cramped dormitories.

The nervous staff member led Ye Lan out of the UN facilities and escorted her to a nearby luxury hotel.

At the hotel reception, the sight of several UN representatives immediately caught the attention of the staff, who rushed to greet them.

  "How may we assist you?"

"From today onward, Miss Priestess will be staying here. Assign her the best room avaible and ensure that every detail is attended to" one of the representatives instructed firmly.

The receptionist’s eyes flickered toward Ye Lan. At first, she was startled to see that she was of the beastkin race, but her initial surprise quickly gave way to fascination.

So cute! The urge to touch her ears and tail was overwhelming!

The receptionist’s excitement was almost tangible, her sparkling gaze practically blooming with imaginary flowers. Ye Lan, accustomed to such reactions, instinctively covered her ears with her hands.

"I’ll take care of it immediately. The best room, correct? That would be Presidential Suite Number One. The rate is 100,000 per day" the receptionist said, quickly regaining her composure and bowing apologetically.

"Understood. Please escort Miss Priestess to her room" With this instruction, the UN representatives offered Ye Lan a timid nod before quickly departing, clearly eager to avoid overstaying their welcome. Serving someone of such power felt akin to walking on a razor’s edge, any misstep could be disastrous.

The hotel receptionist, on the other hand, seemed unfazed, likely unaware of the true might of the beastkin. Maintaining a professional demeanor, she guided Ye Lan to the top floor of the hotel, stopping before the grand Presidential Suite Number One, the most luxurious room in the building.

"This is your access card. Please keep it safe. If you happen to lose it, don’t worry, you can notify us, and we’ll issue a backup" the receptionist expined as she swiped the card and opened the suite door.

  Click.

Ye Lan stood in awe as a soft, golden light spilled out from the room. The air carried an unmistakable fragrance, the smell of wealth.

The suite stretched over 300 square meters, a vish expanse of opulence. Every corner exuded sophistication, and it was fitted with cutting-edge technology, including a fully integrated AI system capable of executing any request with a simple voice command.

This was undoubtedly a room worthy of its 100,000-a-day price tag. Just being there seemed to ease one’s mind and lift one’s spirits.

Ye Lan inhaled deeply, savoring the ambiance ced with that smell of wealth.

The receptionist offered a warm smile. "Well then, I’ll take my leave. If you need anything, simply press the button by the door to reach us"

The door to the room closed quietly behind her. Ye Lan, her eyes gleaming with awe at the sheer luxury surrounding her, headed straight for the enormous plush bed.

What was luxury? This was luxury, damn it!

At that moment, she felt as though she needed nothing else in life. This room, this bed, it was perfection.

Unable to resist, she slowly closed her eyes, let herself colpse onto the bed, and immediately fell into a deep sleep.

Unbeknownst to her, the room’s artificial intelligence system silently observed her every move. Her image was discreetly transmitted to the UN headquarters.

"For now, everything is under control. The beastkin priestess is asleep" reported a voice from within a secure monitoring room, where several individuals were watching the live feed of Ye Lan on a rge screen.

A collective sigh of relief passed through the room.

"We must remain alert. Continue surveilnce"

  "Understood"

The President of the United States, satisfied with the updates, nodded and left the monitoring room. He entered another chamber filled with rows of containers glowing with a vibrant green liquid.

Inside one of the containers floated a young girl with jet-bck hair, suspended in a deep, cryogenic sleep.

  This was Humanity’s Pn Z.

A secret initiative led by the United States in colboration with a select few nations. Its objective, to capture individuals with unparalleled talents and subject them to advanced cryogenic preservation. The goal was to create exceptional future assets, individuals who, even at level 1, would possess extraordinary attributes.

The entire pn centered on the cultivation of three individuals, each assigned to a different country. In the case of the United States, they were nurturing the one with the highest innate attributes among the trio of future prodigies.

"If we successfully develop her, what could the beastkin race possibly do? This girl, even at level 1, can knock out a level 5 adult with a single blow when provoked. With talent like that, the beastkin don’t seem so extraordinary after all, do they?" The President of the United States ran his hand over the surface of the glowing container, suppressing a victorious grin.

Inside the container, the young girl’s eyes slowly fluttered open…
