6 Storage & Rules of Engagement

I sat on my couch with the collection I had pulled out on the coffee table in front of me. I ended up pulling out the Deathly Hallows from the images from the fan Wiki. Starting with the cloak, it was patterned with a swirling color of gray, brown, and bck. I always thought it looked like a tarp in the movies, for green screen purposes. Now, holding it in my own hands it looked and felt like a sort of silk. I think that calling this a cloak is a bit of a stretch, it’s more of a rge bnket or a sheet of fabric that you can cover yourself in. As I did so, my body disappeared. Everything covered by the cloak and the cloak itself disappeared. "Cool," I said having wrapped the cloak around myself.

I walked around the Living room, for an outsider they would see just a floating head. “Hahaha,” I was ughing my head off. It seems that the excitement got the better of me as I ended up hitting my pinky toe on the leg of the coffee table. I stood there for a moment confused wondering why it didn't hurt. Confused I took off the cloak to see that the effect of the Super Mushroom had disappeared. "Ah. Damn." I said as I started folding the cloak. So, they work simirly to how they do in game only sting until an injury is sustained. Well, at least it’s good to know they prevent injury even if only once. Folded up the cloak putting it in the bottom left corner of the coffee table. To its right was the box with both my wand, the Elder Wand, and the Resurrection Stone. The wands were useless without magic so they will stay in their box for the foreseeable future. To the right of them was the Super Crown and the Philosophers Stone. As for the top half of the table, there were some leftover 1UPs still leftover moving back and forth like a DVD screensaver. The clothes I used as a disguise had been balled up and thrown on the other side of the couch.

Looking over the items on the table I could only think about how I would need to store them. Some sort of protection or hiding pce? I can't just leave a stone that can possibly bring back the dead unattended. Nor can I with the other Items. I needed an item bag. The fantasy type with a bigger space on the inside than on the outside.

Personally, I kinda dislike the DND type now that I thought about it. For some bags they only reduce the weight if you keep putting things inside it will eventually get full and heavy. You also can’t put one item bag inside the other. There are consequences. If I remember correctly something like a portal to another dimension an explosion or a bck hole. I'm not in the mood to go dimensional traveling, Yet.

Instead of an Item bag, I preferred the Xianxia option of Space Rings. Space rings act more like a key to a subspace. The size inside varies from each ring, and you can put many other rings inside of one ring. I think you need a better ring to store rings inside. The best rings can even store living things, unlike item bags. (Do these mushrooms count as living?)

I had to spend a bit looking up Space Rings. It took a few sites, (more than a few had descriptions but cked an image) I eventually found one with images of a character that was wearing two Space Rings. Reaching into the image, I tried to pull the rings off his fingers. I can't say I was surprised when nothing happened. The plot of these stories was for the main character to slowly grow stronger as they ascended the power scale. With the end goal being immortality and godhood. Of course, I a ‘normal human’ wouldn't be able to take the ring off his finger. "Maybe I could try butter?" I said humorously.

“There's no way I’m getting these off,” I said with a sigh. It's probably for the best, even if I did get them off I don’t even know how to use them… It's likely that the only way for me to use them is through Cultivation… That’s an idea for tomorrow. Which means I'm going to have to do research on a whole lot of shit... (At least I know what a Dantian is) and thankfully there are many cultivation manhua being pumped out, even if most of them are... I pulled up some different cultivation comics that I'd browse through throughout the evening and night.

That would have to be for ter, right now I was still left without a method of storage. It was then a lightbulb turned on. Searching the web again. I grabbed a Poroid camera, the ones that spit out a picture. I thought about using it as a safety measure. How many other people can put items into a picture? Using some pictures taken from the camera I stored away the clothes and the other items. With that done I was left with just some photos, a Poroid camera, and the invisibility cloak. I didn’t put the cloak in a photo because it was too tedious.

In the end had to go looking for a Bag of Holding. I didn't want to just leave things lying around. I ended up with a leather pouch where I could store what was left in. If I wanted to, I could also store the pouch inside a picture.

With everything sorted for now, I needed to come up with some rules. Grabbing the pen that had been sitting around and a notebook I started writing.

  Rules:

  1) No god items or those that have a significant effect on reality.

I can already think of a significant number of things that would fall into this category. Like a gantlet that can rewrite reality. A stopwatch that stops time. I think I could allow things with limited effects, maybe.

  2) All rules can be negated in case of crisis.

In specifics, anything that has a significant impact on the pnet or life as we know it. This just feels like something I would add sooner or ter.

  3) No time travel.

I already dislike it in fiction. Who knows how bad it could get in reality? Even so, I have to put a really big “IF” I fuck up majorly.

  4) Safety should be my priority when entering or exploring other worlds.

I should also make sure to research the history and lore before going on an adventure.

  5) In conjunction with rule 4 avoid anything to do with zombies, infectious diseases, or transformative effects (that pose a danger to me or others).

While I thought about it, interactions with other worlds are likely to have me encounter different diseases. I would need some standard quarantine protocol. Or immunity…

6). Keep quiet about my abilities.

Avoid things that could be detectable or traceable. It would just be stupid to pull out a gold bar and try to sell it. Additionally, everything I keep needs to be stored when not in use. Especially if it’s magical.

As I finished writing down the st rule, I considered there’s about a 90% chance I am not the only person in the world with abilities. I really couldn't believe otherwise. (I've read too much fiction).

Putting down the notebook, I had to admit I had received an incredible power. I must use it wisely or it will come back to bite my ass… Now that I think about it, this ability is so incredibly dangerous in the wrong hands. I can quite literally pull out any item that has been put into the picture... And to be fair I had already abused it a little.

I wonder if there were other people with abilities. Maybe there are those with magic or martial arts. Maybe there are those with abilities that make them borderline gods?

Depending on what I take out I could do the same...or greater.

"Yeah,” I do not know the limits of my abilities, so I will need to learn them. And I should try my best to use my abilities responsibly. I'm still going to have fun though.

With the rules list finished for now I pulled up a few cultivation comics and started reading.
