After getting swatted by the ant's hand-shaped battle formation, I returned to the wiki. Reading up and testing out the functions of the Plumber Badge until I more or less understood how to use and activate most of its functions. Once I was done, I bounced around a bit, looking at several pages before eventually nding on the page for Galvanic Mechamorphs.
“Galvanic Mechamorphs are a techno-organic species with a gel-like body composed of a nano-technological metallic substance, described as "living metal". They can come in a variety of other shapes as well, most being humanoid, with some having a more animalistic or pnt-like shape.”
Their main ability is teleological possession and enhancement, along with many other useful abilities. Apparently, this comes from an inborn library, programmed into each one, filled with blueprints and intimate knowledge of various technologies. Surprisingly enough, despite their technological origins, Mechamorphs still have DNA, even though they’re something more akin to conglomerations of nanomachines.
Their abilities would be invaluable going forward, given my current needs. However, they’re likely much smarter than the average human, and to achieve what I need, I either need to become one, have someone who won’t argue too much become one, or find an obedient, more animalistic one.
I can't exactly become one due to the uncertainty of the transformation with Ki. While I pn on giving Danny the Omnitrix, that alone wouldn't make him obey my every command. If I needed him to do something like, stay in pce for a week. Even if the Omnitrix didn't time out before then, it's extremely unlikely he'd even agree to it in the first pce. Leaving me the final option. Luckily, there was one animalistic Mechamorph that was more than obedient enough (after some training). Ship, a more dog-like Galvanic Mechamorph, first appearing in the Alien Force era.
While I can just yoink him out, it would probably be best if I earned him. He’d likely be somewhat more obedient that way.
“Which means, I need to get dressed.” Can’t exactly wander around in only a pair of pants, and I should check the episode to see what would be most appropriate.
After checking the episode, I got dressed in some thicker clothes, a long-sleeved shirt, a fur-lined coat, and a pair of hiking boots, before passing through the screen. Once on the Otherside, the first thing I noticed was the uncomfortable feeling of my Ki getting sealed. Taking a moment to get over it, I took a breath of the cool night air. looking over on the opposite side of the highway, I saw a broken-down red semi-truck.
With enough time to get my bearings, the Plumber Badge in the coat pocket began screaming a high-pitched alert.
*BWEEE-BEWOO* *BWEE-BWOO*Pulling it from the coat pocket, the hourgss symbol was fshing as it chirped. It was a very annoying sound. As I inspected the badge, trying to mute the sound, a bck blob had quickly approached me from behind.
*BWEEE-BEWOO* *BWEE-BWOO*The badge screeched once again, before I heard the sound of a synthesized voice, coming from below. “SHIIIP!” it shouted low and slow. Turning around, I looked down at the strange creature in the shape of a seal as it quickly slithered towards me.
Spoiler
[colpse]Its body was all bck except for the green circuit marking. A straight line ran the length of its body, from tip to tail. There were three green rings, one at its head, one at its mid-section, and one towards the end of its tail. “SHHIPP! SHHIIPP” It called again as I examined the marks around its tail and legs before it slithered close enough to touch my leg.
*BWEEE-BEWOO* *BWEE-BWOO*The badge once again screeched out, as Ship had started rubbing its head against my leg. Its body stretched and contracted as it did. The green circle representing its face remained unchanged as the rest of its body shifted. Bending down, I stroked its body, feeling the strange liquid metal material that felt like how I would expect mercury to feel, while also having substantial tensile resistance.
"SHIIPP!" It called out loudly.
“Alright, lead the way,” I told him, receiving a quieter, happier call in response. "Ship!!!"
Letting go of my leg, Ship started hopping off into the tree line, slithering up an incline before stopping, looking over its shoulder, making sure I was following behind. Following behind him, he started leading me into the forest.
Ship would stop every few steps to make sure I was still following, constantly checking as it led me deeper into the forest. Eventually we arrived at the site of a crashed spaceship.
Spoiler
[colpse]It took us around ten minutes to walk here, and I had been able to smell the smoke for most of that time. Looking at the crash site, I couldn't help but feel the inherent wonder that came from an alien spaceship, but it had seen better days.
There was a column of smoke coming from the four rge engines at the ship's back, they were in rough shape. The ship's middle segment and rounded front end were all crumpled in from the crash. There was also a rge hole taken out of the side of its middle segment.
Said hole was also currently being patched with a red energy barrier. Looking at the site of the crash, Ship chimed again, this time giving a long, drawn-out, “S H I P…
Its body transformed into a simir figure as the ship likely from before the crash. Then the rounded head popped, turning into a sea urchin. There was even an included explosion sound effect.
“I get it already, let's just go rescue him," I told the pile of goop as it began to reform, while making my way towards the energy barrier.
After reforming, Ship followed close behind.
Arriving before the energy barrier, it released a high, almost silent hum. Beyond the barrier, directly on the other side of the ship's interior, was a trio of fshing screens.
Spoiler
[colpse]The rge one constantly bounced up and down but appeared to be consistently growing. The lower of the two smaller ones was likely a statistical monitor for power (voltage, maybe?). The st one was clearly a timer, and it was counting down. While I can understand it, it appeared strange even with the effect of the Transtion Gummy.
“So, it’s going to blow?” I wondered, thinking I probably should have watched the whole episode before entering.
“I hope the badge works.” If it can hack and disengage electronic locks, it should be capable of disabling the self-destruct sequence, otherwise, I might have to count on Ship to disengage the self-destruct system...
“More importantly, I hope this works," I said, activating Diamonic. If it worked, I could simply move the field around me; the only question was whether the ring would work in a world outside its own or the real world.
While my Ki got sealed, I could still feel the connection with the ring. But it felt somewhat different from before. It was only a slight difference between what I had grown used to during my brief time with the ring. After a couple tries, I activated Diamonic’s electromagnetic field. Once the field was activated, it spread out around me, and the red barrier began to waver for a brief moment before I pulled open the barrier like a curtain, stepping inside the spaceship.
Looking inside without the red filter created by the barrier, the interior resembled the bck metal of the Mechamorphs with a simir circuitry system extending throughout. However, instead of the green of the Mechamorphs, the circuits were currently glowing an arming red color.
Off to the right, a little way underneath the fshing panels, was a humanoid Mechamorph with an inverted pattern on his legs and underbelly, being mostly green with bck markings. He was caught underneath a rge metal strut, and likely still unconscious from the crash, given that he should be able to remove it on his own. Or by merging into the floor and escaping that way.
(On that note, how does a machine go unconscious? Did the crash cause enough damage that he needed to reboot? How long will that take?)
Shaking my head, I shook off the meaningless thoughts, I needed to tackle the most pressing matter first.
I moved over a few paces to the right of the fshing panels. Here was a strange glowing red cylinder discharging a massive amount of electricity from a circur protrusion at its center.
Spoiler
[colpse]Moving over to the right of the overloaded machine, I pced the back of the Plumber Badge up against the nearby panel. Activating it, the badge stuck to the wall. A short few seconds ter, the badge fshed, and the pulsing energy charge began to slow down, but the discharge wasn't stopping.
In its current state, it looked like it would take some time before the badge took control. The self-destruct wouldn't occur for several more hours at the very least. If I was reading the timer correctly, there were around 22-23 hours before detionation. Considering this was at the beginning of the episode, it was more than enough time for events to py out normally. Before my intrusion.
Leaving the badge attached to the wall, I used Diamonic to remove the metal strut from the humanoid Mechamorph, dropping it off to the side, and opened a hole in the barrier for Ship to pass through. After a moment of apprehension, Ship slithered his way inside. First, coming close to the humanoid Mechamorph before thusly returning to my leg. "Ship Ship!" he cried excitedly, rubbing up against my leg, purring in a low synthetic tone.
"Right... uh, do you think you could help out with this?" I asked, pointing at the badge stuck to the wall.
"SHip!" He chirped, stretching his neck up to look at the Plumber Badge attached to the wall. His neck stretched here and there as he observed the badge from several angles before pressing his face into it. As he pressed, his liquid body began to follow behind, became one with the badge. Merged with the badge, the green ring of his face surrounded the green hourgss of the badge.
After the merger, the discharge of electricity further slowed on the cylinder device.
"S-H-I-P."
The call was low and slow before green lines started to emerge from the badge, connecting to several of the rge red markings around the interior. A tug of war seemed to start as the green infiltrated the red markings, then the red markings began to do the same. It went back and forth for several minutes. Red would be winning one minute, only for green to overtake it in one area and start pushing back.
In the end, red won, and the green hourgss on the Plumber Badge fshed red.
*BWWWEEP* *BWWWEEP*"That can't be good," I watched the electricity around the cylinder begin to pick up in full force. Stray currents started arcing off one every direction. "Well, so much for turning it off." Looks like tearing it out just became the only option.
Using Diamonic, I tore the cylinder from its enclosure, the connected parts bent in screaming agony, metal twisting as it was removed. When the final connection gave way, the colored circuits cut out, and the red energy barrier shut off.
As for the cylinder, it just became an even hotter potato; the electricity no longer had a pce to discharge. It appears this thing was some sort of capacitor, and it was ready to blow.
Quickly moving it outside the ship, I had to start thinking about how to get rid of the thing, and I didn't have many options.
"... Can I make a railgun?" Since Diamonic works through electromagnetic forces, and this cylinder was basically a rge shot... "How far can I get it into the air?" As I started imagining it, the magnetic field created by Diamonic started to shift. Transforming into a long cylindrical tube, pulling back on the cylinder, I felt the immense discharge just moments away before it unched.
***Boom***The first thing I heard after it unched was the supersonic boom that came from breaking the sound barrier. Stumbling back a few steps from the ringing in my ears, a shining bright fsh could be seen lighting up the sky, pushing away the nearby clouds as a second boom released, knocking me on my ass. "I knew something would blow up in my face today," I said, massaging my ears.
Sitting on the floor of the spaceship, waiting for the ringing to stop and my hearing to return, I felt something come up from behind me. Sadly, I couldn't hear him, but judging by the sad-looking expression of his circle, Ship was feeling responsible for the explosion. "It's okay, you tried your best," I said, stroking his round, morphic head, my hand sinking into his body.
Sitting there stroking him, for a bit before he curled up into my p. "You know, I have someone just like you at home."
Several minutes ter, my hearing had finally returned. But not before what was likely backup power had been restored to the ship. Now returned to its natural green circuit pattern.
"Ahem." I turned around, hearing an unknown voice.
Spoiler
[colpse]The humanoid Mechamorph had recovered. Now standing up, moving, and reforming his hands.
“Now, as I was saying before I lost consciousness," Once he started speaking Ship climbed off my p and over towards the upward standing rge strut. "I extruded this symbiote. The one you call Ship.”
Ship began wagging his head in an up and down motion, extending his head upward, “Ship.”
“Thank you. I had sent it off to find the nearest Plumber. That was you, I presume?"
“I received your distress signal, and him,” I said, standing up.
“You’re a plumber?” The humanoid Mechamorph asked, disbelieving my response.
“Eh, Sure,” I responded just as poorly.
"Uhah." The humanoid Mechamorph nodded.
"Look, I’ve got a badge, and I helped you out. Let’s not cross any wires that don’t need to be.”
“Right." The humanoid mechmorph said in a dismissive tone, "Now, if you excuse me, I have to repair my ship's Warp drive,” turning around, his hand morphed, gaining several new digits as he started typing away on the statistics panel.
"Is there anything I can do to help?"
Hearing my question, the humanoid Mechamorph stopped typing and turned around. "Well, I suppose, very well."
Most of what he had me do was connect cables and having me put an antenna back on the roof. Most of which was automatic once everything was in the right pce. The parts just reconnected on their own. The bulk of the ship's repairs were done by the humanoid Mechamorph, merging with the ship; he even patched the gaping hole in the side.
I did it for two reasons. Firstly being my interest in the ship. Secondly being that it was probably necessary, they probably did it in the episode.
It took about an hour before the ship was repaired. When it was, the main design had shifted somewhat from the original, but it was floating. And now even the outside glowed with the green circuit pattern. Standing outside looking up at it, I couldn't tell if he was merged with it or not to create this effect. I got my answer as a portion of the rounded end moved, creating a window.
Sitting in the cockpit, the humanoid Mechamorph waved, "Right, all done. Off I go."
"What about him?" I asked, seeing Ship come up close on my left leg.
"You and he had such a lovely bonding experience. Why don't you keep him?" The humanoid Mechamorph said, regaining his dismissive tone. I didn't say anything as the window started to close, the ship flew higher. Higher and higher before it flipped around the four engines on the back began bsting before it shot off into the sky.
"Ship?" Ship asked while still rubbing his head against my leg.
"Looks like I'm your owner now." I said, picking him up and holding out my arm.
