Sitting in bed, he went over the documents the wyer sent him and sighed. He looked at Troy, who was sitting on the bed at his feet, and asked, “So I’m apparently a gold digger now. Did she know he was going to die?”
He shook his head. “I didn’t ask.”
“So, what are we going to do about this? Does she want the company?”
“She wants everything.”
“Is she capable of running both businesses?”
“No. King always said she’s mentally unstable. That’s why each of the children has a wet nurse and she has a skilled helper in case of anything.”
“If he knew she was messed up, why’d he continue having children with her?”
“Because he might die.”
“Well, that turned out peachy, didn’t it? Looks like I won’t be living in peace for a long time. I don’t even want to know what she’ll think when she finds out I’m carrying his child.”
Troy’s eyes lingered on the bump under the bnket, then he looked at him, asking, “Why do I have the feeling that you’ve been suspicious of her for a while now?”
“Since the beginning,” he scoffed. Recalling back the memory of when he followed Jason to the VIP room, he saw it in her eyes, how she looked at King as if he was her God.
Troy stared at him for a moment, contemptively, then nodded. “What are you going to do about this?”
“Let’s pretend I don’t know, but find something to counter her actions because if I do it, you won’t like it.”
He nodded, acknowledging the order.
Handing the documents back to him, he got under the bnket and rested his head on the pillow. “I’ll be out of the office this week. Call me only when you need me for something reted to SOG—give that order to Chips.”
“Yes boss,” he said, leaving and closing the door behind him. Walking through the house, he shook his head.
Gun moved out of King’s apartment and house, selling everything and bought himself a house surrounded by greenery away from the bustling city, but he had a pce in the city too. He really needed to rest. Nothing can happen to the baby inside him.
Opening his eyes, Gun stared at the wall. Sandie’s smile appeared before him and all the kind words she sang to him on their st visit. Frowning, he looked at the engagement ring on his finger. Pulling it off, he stared at it, observing it.
Sitting up on the bed, he stared at the engravings inside the rim completely baffled that he didn’t notice it before reading, ‘I love you Sadie, daddy.’
Squeezing the ring in his hand, he threw it against the mirror against the door and looked at himself in the cracked mirror. “One wrong move, Sandie, I warn you. One wrong move.”

Sandie’s hands were shaking as she stared at Troy and her wyer, then threw a book at the wyer’s head. Troy stepped back and looked at the man that was just assaulted. Looking back at her, he asked, “Do you want to get sued?”
“Do not try my patience! I don’t care that Gun is the love of his life. My children come first and you know that!”
“I do but you must understand, King left everything in Gun’s hands because he knew how Gun is. Gun cares about you and the children.”
“Oh please, he just wishes my kids were his.”
“If you want, I can appeal for the directors to question him through evaluation and observation. From what I’ve learnt is that he seems to constantly go to the doctors and counselling.”
Her eyes brightened. “Really? Is he sick?” She asked, directing the question at Troy.
He shook his head. “No, just to check on the bullet wound and for rehabilitation. The counselling sessions are to help him get over King, he isn’t emotionally stable yet and running the company is taking a toll on him but from his performance, I don’t think the directors will side with you especially since his recent business decisions are raking in profits.”
She slumped in the seat, recalling the news she heard. “That’s right, you did send me a lot. How are the insurance policies? I want to take one out on Gun’s head.”
The wyer sighed. “I can arrange that. I’ll need a few of his documents. Will you be able to get them for me, Mr. Troy?”
Troy side eyed him. Now that Gun knew about this, he thought he’d py the part well and inform both sides, “Sure, that won’t be a problem.”
Sceptical Sandie asked, “And why are you helping me? I thought you’d be loyal to him?”
“I’m only looking out for the children and the company, for all I care, you and Gun mean nothing to me.”
She scoffed, “I know my father asked you to take care of King. You’d take care of his bitch, too.”
“I don’t understand why you’re being like this, but do as you please. I’m just here to do my job.”
She stared at him for a moment, then nodded her head. “Well, I appreciate your efforts?”
Walking out side by side with her wyer, he looked at him asking, “Do you know what you are getting yourself into?”
He raised a brow as they stopped by their cars. Thinking the question over and recalling the research he had done on Gun, he said, “Yes. I fully understand what I’m dealing with. I was referred over from the man who worked directly with her father if I stand corrected.”
Troy was surprised with this information but didn’t show it. Nodding, he held out his hand, “Well, it was nice finally meeting you. I’ll be on my way then. I have a long way back to Thaind.”
