Aurelian stared at some of the spars happening. To be honest , nothing really interested him. The spars between mages were not spectacur and the spar didn't give out the warrior energy but rather two individuals fighting for the sake of it.

  The knights fought with brute force and no techniques and it didnt interest him either.

  But one match interested him a lot.

  Spar between Anastasia and Lux Raven.

  While one was a mage , other was a blessed.

  While the knights matched with knights and mages with mages , it seemed that Lux was matched with a mage. Not only a random mage , the aura she emitted showed that she was in the fourth tier only possible to reach at this age either through intense training or usage of high quality items to enhance cultivation.

  Both of them were calm and collected and both of their moves had purpose. Anastasia despite being a mage handled her bow skilfully that even fiery Johnson had to acknowledge her skills.

  A bowmen fighting a swordsmen up close was a clear mismatch and obviously the sword person would win. But that concept only applied to the common man who had no mana. These were super humans backed up by mana which had the ability to do anything.

  Anastasia was so agile that for some it looked it she was flying.

  After about 5 minutes , the spar came to an end and it seemed that Lux won without any hardships.

  'These two are someone to look after' Aurelian thought.

  Although he didnt give much heed to these two and didnt really care about them , being aware of someone's strength was important.

  Who knows? one day they might be on his opposite side and one had to defeat the other. In that case knowing your enemies as much as yourself was half of the battle won.

  The one hour css flew by quickly and the students after the intense session collected their manuals from fiery Johnson who spoke in a slightly less authoritative tone. It seemed that he was quite impressed with this batch.

  After Fiery Johnson concluded the session, everyone started to go their css after freshening up a little. Each css had a break of about 10 minutes before the next css started.

  The next two csses went by soon as well. The second css was the magical theory css mainly on the topics of spells and their origins which to be honest Aurelian just didn't listen to and didnt take notes as the teacher insisted. He even felt sleepy just because of the css even though it was only the second period.

  Even though this behaviour would be noted by the teacher , it wasn't too much of a deal. He didnt care what others thought of him.

  The third css was about the magical beasts. These were the beasts found in the dungeons.

  The professor who was an old schor taught the basic morphology and anatomy of these beasts and even shared the overview of how one some of these beasts evolved and formed the ancestors of the beastmen.

  After two hours of excruciating pain , it was finally lunch time and Aurelian was the first one to leave.

  It wasn't that he was hungry or anything but rather he wanted to see the cafeteria which the academy cimed to the best in the world.

  Just as advertised , the cafeteria got his breath away as well. Most of the students and staff of the academy were gathered here to get their food.

  While it was allowed for students to bring their own food , no one ever did. Why would they bring their crappy food if they could eat food made by the top chefs of the world?

  The floor was smooth and had no dirt and the cafeteria was decorated beyond belief.

  Aurelian went over the food options by the menu. There was a free meal set for all while some had to be bought with money. Some even could be bought by points which were the academy's meritocratic currency it gave to the students.

  These points could be used instead of money on almost everything. It was a way for the poor commoner who by sheer luck or talent came to the academy and couldn't spend the exorbitant money quoted by the academy on many things. But for the rich kids who were most , money was never the problem.

  Aurelian stood in the line and waited for his turn to get the food. After getting it , he quietly went to a table and started to eat his meal.

  As expected no one came even near him or sat besides him.

  A upstart guy who looked like a punk came to the table with two girls but seeing Aurelian eating , he immediately turned around and went to another pce.

  But an unexpected guest came.

  "Mind if we sit here? the other pces are kind of full."

  Aurelian saw Lux Raven holding a pte with a bright smile on his face. Besides him was Anastasia who by the looks of it he has made a good acquaintance of.

  Just as he was about to say anything , Anastasia interrupted.

  "Im not eating with this creep , lets find another table or you eat here with him , Im not feeling hungry anyway , I might as well go and practice a spell in css."

  There was silence for sometime.

  "Im sorry, She is like this , don't take it seriously." Lux tried to ugh it off. By the way they were talking , it looked like both of them knew each other before the academy. Not that it mattered to him in any way.

  Aurelian just stared at Lux and didnt say anything and went back to eating.

  "uh.."

  Shaking his head , Lux forced Anastasia to sit and started eating.

  "There is not much space to sit and more students are coming so we will sit here, hope you don't mind."

  Anastasia stared daggers at Lux but she started eating as well. Today was an intense day. The sheer amount of things they were teaching in one session was a lot even for her and she needed energy to take in all the information.

  Lux kept on talking while Anastasia only talked minimally.

  Lunch was about 1.40 hours long. It was also meant to recuperate a little.

  They were indoor game rooms where students could rex for sometime or a lounge where they could sleep if they were tired from previous's day te night studying.

  It was overall a pretty chill academy according to Aurelian although he had to admit the sylbus was very advanced compared to other academies.

  After finishing lunch , he went to a park nearby which had a vending machine. He dropped a coin and purchased a pack of cigarettes.

  As the students were mostly considered as adults they were allowed to smoke and drink but of course with limitations.

  For example they weren't allowed to smoke in css or inside certain areas of the academy.

  They were free to do so in the park for instance.

  Smoking or drinking wouldn't spoil the student's health in any sorts as they were superhuman and their immune system was much advanced than normal humans.

  Although they were still bad habits and addictive because these students were basically adults and from high backgrounds some leeway was given.

  popping a cigarette in his mouth and lighting it , Aurelian sat on a bench and saw the little pond in front of him.

  His face was stoic and it was hard to gauge what he was thinking.

  'So this is what peace means huh?'

  'It's almost silent. The surroundings are in stand still. Nothing is bck and white, everything is so colourful not of dread and gloom but of joy.'

  Aurelian was conflicted with many different thoughts that he didn't realise that he had smoked an entire cigarette.

  'The voices are gone as well'

  'This pce breeds serenity not chaos'

  Aurelian closed his eyes for a moment to indulge in the moment.

  Even after five minutes of closing , that 'scene' didnt appear in his mind. It didnt haunt him here.

  The bell rang indicating the end of lunch and Aurelian jolted from his nap.

  'Oh shit , it looks like I almost slept for an hour'

  Aurelian then pced his hand on his head and felt his body through his shirt.

  'No sweat and no fever.'
