LOOT DROP Chapter: 20

  LOOT DROP Chapter: 20

The fight started with a boom, Fisk's shotgun blasting his would be attackers back who disintegrated upon his weapon unleashing it's attack.

Or, what was supposed to have happened if not for a hulking figure in steel armor blocking his attack with a massive metal shield.

“Get him!” Sonichu yelled with twelve players rushing Fisk who shoved Faith into the nearby store before kicking off the ground to avoid the fireball aimed at his body.

Running, Fisk ran ducked behind several players, the ones chasing him unleashing their attacks that struck the bystanders that immediately broke into chaos as several innocents died.

  “Firebolt!”

Fisk’s skin tingled, he spun, pivoting on his feet and avoiding the bolt of flame that struck another player.

“One Mystery Egg to anyone who kills One Leg!” Sonichu yelled over the pandemonium breaking out.

Then, like a switch, dozens of players turned on Fisk, the number of attackers suddenly multiplying as he shifted his head to avoid an axe.

“Damn it! Where are the judges?!” Fisk yelled before dispatching a player with a gunshot to the face.

  -13HP

Then Fisk was struck, a blade digging into his side before he backhanded his assailant and killed the player instantly.

“Alright, you've pissed me off,” Fisk said, stopping in his tracks as a large fireball flew his way. Fisk's eyes went round, his body tensing up at the sight of the flames only for his hand to come as his mind override the hesitation to save his life, “Mirror.”

A translucent screen shimmered into place in front of Fisk, the fireball, striking the floating mirror only to bounce and reflect towards the crowd of players.

Screams and pandemonium, Sonichu still screaming as an armored knight came barreling through the flames.

With shield in hand, the player named Noob Filter charged Fisk, his shield deflecting Fisk's gunshot and bashing Fisk in the chest, nearly off balancing him if not for his metal leg digging into the earth.

A contest of strength ensued, but one the player wasn't prepared for as Fisk gripped the edges of the man's shield and pulled.

The player screamed, his arm ripped off, shield now firmly in Fisk's hands that was used like a folded chair and bashed over the head of another adventurer.

“Come on! Why are you all struggling! He's just one NPC! Burst him down!” Sonichu yelled. “If he bleeds, he can be hurt!”

Fisk clenched his jaw, kicking Noob Filter through the window of a nearby shop before advancing towards Sonichu.

Two players rushed Fisk, both wielding daggers, one took Fisk's cowl to the face, followed by a kick into the chest, disappearing into light while the other managed to land a slash at Fisk's already bleeding side.

Then a series of arrows struck Fisk in the back, forcing him to a knee while a blast of energy caught Fisk and sent him careening sideways.

More than half his HP gone, Fisk down to fifty out of a hundred and twenty.

The dagger wielding player jumped on Fisk, only for a shotgun blast to sound, followed by Fisk rolling to his feet and tackling a player through a merchant's stall.

“COME ON!” Fisk roared, standing from the glimmering corpse made from his fist driving through the player's face.

The group of players circling him seemed to hesitate, each looking at one another before a pair of spearmen came out, pointing their weapons at Fisk to cage him.

“Mr. Fisk!” Faith yelled, emerging from the crowd to stand in front of Fisk. “Back! Have you all no shame?! Why are you doing this?!”

Faith barked at the crowd of players, the multitude of adventurers eyeing the woman who knelt down and began healing Fisk.

“SHE'S HEALING HIM! STOP HER!” Sonichu yelled, firing a bolt of energy at Faith who screamed as she was struck and hit the ground as Fisk caught her.

  “Faith!”

Then, a claxon alarm, the sky above opening up to reveal figures clad in black with the name of Judge above their heads.

“Cease hostilities,” The voices of the judges demanded.

“Damn! Hurry up and kill him! The rest of you hold off the judges!” Sonichu ordered, his hands glowing with power, “Come, I summon you, Rosechu!”

A glyph appeared, a flash of light unveiling a large four-legged monstrocity that resembled a lion wearing the skull of a saber tooth tiger.

“Here, take this,” Fisk said, summoning a health potion a vial himself.

Damn… I was hoping to save these, Fisk seethed, his eyes on the Judges being attacked by a group of players that evaporated under the power of brilliant light emitted from heaven.

Fisk narrowed his eyes, a smirk on his face as he focused on a judge casting a spell, completely ignoring the charging beast summoned by Sonichu.

“Skill Capture,” Fisk whispered, his eyes burning as arcane symbols danced in his eyes and his body burned with energy.

[Skill: Righteous Smite Captured! MP 85]

Fisk summoned and downed a mana potion, restoring his mana completely as he turned to face the monster bearing down on him.

“Mr. Fisk!* Faith yelled, moving onto to shield her eyes as the clouds above parted to unveil brilliant light.

“Righteous Smite,” Fisk hissed, pointing his palm at Sonichu.

A beam broke through, the skill of the Judges evaporating dozens of players along with the leaping monster and destroying the street.

Cries were heard, and people fled, the blinding light of Fisk's smite drowning out the chaos until nothing but white remained.

Then, the light departed, the world returned to normal with scorch marks upon the earth where dozens of players had once been.

“H-h-what?! Ain't no way! This isn't fair! This isn't fair!!!” Sonichu yelled, backing away from Fisk who began advancing on the blubbering player.

Sonichu turned to run, but Fisk was quick, donning another mana potion Fisk activated airburst, rocketing from the earth to catch the fleeing player by the back of the neck.

“Let me go! Let me go!!” Sonichu yelled, flailing in the air as Fisk held him aloft, what remained of the players gathered observing in mute silence as he dangled the player in the air. “I'm sorry! Don't kill me again! I can't keep losing exp! I'll lose my summoning-”

“I don't care,” Fisk said, his hand squeezing.

The furry’s eyes began to bulge, his head going red as his body was deprived of oxygen and the pressure to his head increased.

“Hurts? It! It hurtTTHs!” Sonichu choked out, Fisk unaware that his actions were overriding several safety sensors.

“Good,” Fisk said, before throwing the player to the ground, the furry thing looking up with fear at Fisk.

Then, Fisk stepped on Sonichu’s leg, the limb, letting out an audible crunch as he screamed. Fisk followed that up by pushing the furry flat against the ground with his foot, his boot, slowly increasing the pressure pressing against Sonichu's chest.

“Help! HaLP! HeeeAaLp!” The player begged, tears visibly showing as Fisk continued to push down on his victim.

“Oh I'll help you,” Fisk growled, “To the afterlife.”

Then, Fisk raised his foot, the player, raising his hands up and begging for mercy even as Fisk stomped down on the furry’s head.

An audible pop, then silence, the player's body evaporating into light as Fisk's glare settled on the players that remained.

A game to them, but real life to me…

  “Anyone else?” Fisk demanded.

Then, like that, the crowd dispersed, allowing Fisk to be alone with Faith just as several armored guards arrived led by the Crimson.

Eyeing the guards Fisk scowled, Eve’s words appearing in his mind asking him what he wanted to do.

“I think I want to be left the hell alone.”
