Countless thoughts churned in Mizuki’s mind as he contempted. In a split second, his supportive Artificial Intelligence units took action under his decision. The back of his power armor unched a small rod that reassembled itself into a spider medi-bot the size of a small dog. Naturally, the AT-Field has covered a rge area so that the robot won’t be turned into a piece of trash due to the influence of this world’s Dimensional Laws. The bot immediately went to work to give the wounded dwarf first aid.
The dwarf leader coughed bck blood as Mizuki watched the medical spider-bot dismantled and opened his clothing to reveal the extent of his damage.
The flesh that touched the mantis bde is decomposing, they were bck.
< Humanoid tentatively designated as Gray Dwarf. Body structure is simir to humans with slight differences: dark gray skin color, shorter body, higher skeletomuscur density, and a few unknown organs detected. >
Mizuki received the telepathic message of his supportive AI, Kasumi, through the medi-bot.
< Toxic pathogen detected in the area of the wounds. The Astral Beast’s Parasites inherit some of the characteristics of the progenitor: their body is a breeding ground for toxic pathogens. Any wounds they inflict are extremely lethal to biological entities. The damage the gray dwarf suffered… is lethal. >
Mizuki inquired, “The medi-bot is equipped with space marine-grade medigel and nanoms. Can’t you heal them?”
< Early estimates indicate that gray dwarf’s physiology is 70% simir to humans. If you’re willing to part with precious nanomaterials from your supply, then we have over 50% chance of saving him. >
“Do what you can.”
The medi-bot immediately went to work. < Acknowledged. Administering 6 ml of Medigel and 2 mg nanoms. >
While the wounded gray dwarf leader and its group muttered gibberish, the bot sprayed alcohol-like sedatives and began opening up his belly, removing up its tainted flesh and spraying the medigel. The advanced technology of the Human Imperium, despite being impeded by the Dimensional Laws of the world, still works wonders. After injecting a vial of silvery liquid metal, the gray dwarf’s wounds began to close up at a visible rate, with the medigel’s high nutrient content repcing missing flesh by promoting fresh living tissue growth. Soon, grayish flesh began to repce the ugly wound.
Seeing this, some of the gray dwarves who are vocal about the spider medi-bot began to quiet down. The wounded dwarves no longer fought back when the medi-bot began cutting off their contaminated flesh and sprayed medigel.
“I don’t really need these dwarves, but having a native species to work for me will expedite the setting up of an early-base.” Mizuki expressed his intent.
< Understood. First aid completed. Physical restoration is at 39%. Subject has lost a lot of blood. Suggestion: administer additional 1 mg of nanoms and 3 ml of medigel for blood recovery. >
“There’s no need for a full recovery.” Mizuki replied.
< Acknowledged. Administering 50% of the recommended dose. >
With the dwarf leader who suffered the gravest wound treated sufficiently, the medi-bot began triaging the remaining dwarves. Mizuki counted, there were around two dozen wounded, and some were on the brink of death. It was a job too heavy for a single medi-bot to cover, so Kasumi activated another pair to assist after receiving approval.
Taking a closer look, one of the dwarves is muttering in a completely different nguage. As the dwarf continued his whisper, the area on his palm began producing strange energy readings. A sudden burst of gentle light enveloped his palm and bathed another dwarf’s wounds, permeating it. The bck, ugly wound caused by the insects began to slowly heal under this mysterious light.
“That’s a completely different healing method than the Imperium had.” Mizuki squinted his eyes, prompting Kasumi to pay deeper attention towards the wounds.
< Affirmative. Strange readings pre-activation of said healing method indicate the usage of external energies to kill, expel, or cleanse the toxic pathogen. Hypothesis: the native of this world have developed their civilization in a completely different way than the Imperium. Suggestion: activate research unit Ayumi to expedite examination. >
Mizuki’s attention was quickly taken away by the sound of insects climbing up the stairs to enter the room.
He carved a bloody path to get here, but the outside of the room is still swarmed by hostile forces. The insects kept on pushing through, his round of killing had only paused the onsught for a brief moment.
“Activating research unit Ayumi and combat unit Gurren.” Mizuki’s 2.5 meter tall power armor has its front side opened up, allowing the ‘pilot’ of the killing machine to step out.
The dwarves gasped in astonishment as Mizuki revealed his true form.
Towering at 180 centimeters, his slender figure was encased in a skintight bodysuit that left little to the imagination. His unusual appearance truly captivated them.
Mizuki's "skin" was a sleek, non-reflective bck, composed of metal fibers woven into human-like muscles that has an otherworldly feel. Beneath the bodysuit, there was no hint of biological flesh nor organs, just pure mechanical contraptions with unknown mechanisms. His pale face, though strikingly handsome, seemed more like a meticulously crafted mask rather than a living part of him. A pair of piercing cyan lenses, sat atop bck sclera is pced where the natural eyes would be. His short bck hair framed his face, adding to his enigmatic aura.
The dwarves exchanged puzzled gnces, their minds racing to comprehend the nature of this extraordinary being before them.
“Gurren.” Mizuki nudged his head towards the staircase. “My AT-Field has covered the area, go clean up the mess outside.”
< Understood, Your Excellency. > The empty power armor closed up, before going downstairs with the gunnce in hand. Despite moving so fast for the eyes to see, Gurren does not move beyond the speed of sound as the sonic booms will affect the wounded dwarves. In the next second, the echoes resulting from her sughter resounded through the area.
“Ayumi, I need your help in deducing dwarven nguage. I grant you authorization to read my relevant memories.”
< Research in progress. >
‘Just activating Gurren and Ayumi are already hogging most of my computation resources…’ Mizuki had fleeting thoughts. ‘I need to solve the dimensional ws issue as soon as possible.’
All of his interactions with the AI units occurred telepathically in a span of microseconds. To the dwarves, he simply stepped out from his gigantic armor while it moved by itself as if controlled by magic.
Seeing the spectacle, the dwarf leader seemed to have gathered his courage as he approached Mizuki and began speaking in their native tongue. Naturally, they sounded like gibberish to Mizuki, but he prompted Ayumi to provide real-time transtion with the avaible material.
“Gratitude… safe… insect… repayment… order… unfilling…” A subtitle appeared on Mizuki’s vision, simir to an augmented reality device providing real-time transtion assistance. < Your Excellency, this is currently what I can do best. We require more linguistic data. Please make them speak more. >
“Speed, but not haste. Go with high-precision rather than high-speed.” Mizuki mentally replied to Ayumi while he waved his hand to calm the dwarf leader down. “Calm down, I saved you for my own benefit.” He spoke in Unified Human Tongue, not expecting the dwarves to understand the official nguage of the Human Imperium. The dwarves, in exchange, consider his gesture as humbling himself, and as if it was a natural action that he took when seeing someone in dire need of help.
Mizuki has no intention to fix his misunderstanding, for now, at least. He needs them to speak more so that Ayumi can decipher more of their nguage as his highest priority is establishing contact with them. The shining crystal that led him to them currently has a lower priority rating.
“Come,” He gestured to the dwarf leader to follow him, “I want you to see what Gurren is capable of.” He slowly trotted away heading downstairs where it was jam-packed with insect paste.
The dwarves looked at each other, discussing what actions they should take. After some bantering, three dwarves, including the leader, followed Mizuki’s footsteps to descend.
Along the way, they were able to see the sheer power that Gurren wields. Typically, only the most powerful dwarves were able to kill parasitic insects in one shot, as the insect’s physiology allowed them to have multiple redundancies. This meant that even if their head is decapitated, they can still function for a few more minutes, allowing them to wreak havoc with reckless abandon. A lot of dwarves have been sin due to this.
On the contrary, Mizuki and his power armor was able to kill them in one-hit. The alien energies contained within Mizuki’s gunnce completely obliterated any secondary or tertiary organs. Most that were hit directly turned into meat paste, and those who got scratched by the gunnce have their internal organs corroded by the foreign energy.
If there’s a need for a ranged attack, the gunnce’s APHE rounds pierced armor and exploded from inside. If a human were shot by that weapon, they would turn into meat paste, so even its weakened ranged attacks are still lethal to the insect.
“So…” Mizuki’s words trailed off as he waited for the dwarves to catch up with him. “What do you think about Gurren?” He smirked smugly as his Gurren-controlled power armor sat on top of a mountain of insect corpses, the armor turned dark crimson as if it was dipped into a pool of blood of her enemies. The only source of light is the fre highlighting the entire pza, highlighting the mood of sughter even clearer. “In terms of pure melee combat performance, she’s second only to me.”
